Something exciting is coming soon and I can’t wait to share it with you! 🥹✨ Can anyone take a guess as to what it might be? 💖

As we move into 2025, it’s time to focus on growth, balance, and authenticity. For me, that means setting stronger boundaries, prioritising rest and hobbies outside of work, and learning to choose progress over perfection 💕

This year isn’t about doing more, it’s about doing what matters, celebrating every step forward, and speaking up for what truly counts.

Share with me your intentions for #2025? ✨

I think I have got to that age now and also the awareness within myself that I don't have to put myself out just because it's Christmas.. (hear me out) 🙋🏻‍♀️

I've always struggled with festive periods because as a neurodivergent individual, they are really overwhelming and for me, it's not that fun - stressing about buying presents with funds I don't have, forcing myself to social events when I want to stay at home, pretending that I am happy with overstimulating lights and sounds.

So this month I'm doing it differently, and here's what I'm not doing...

❌ Pretend I’m excited about festive chaos.
❌ Say yes to every invite just to 'be polite.'
❌ Spend energy I don’t have trying to be the perfect holiday version of myself.

December isn’t a one-size-fits-all vibe, and guess what? You’re allowed to do it your way. I’m focusing on what feels good, not what looks good to others—because festive burnout isn’t on my wish list tbh.

So here’s your permission slip to not be jolly, attend every event, or fake the Christmas spirit. Prioritise YOU, unapologetically 💜

What are you not forcing yourself to do this month?

I’m excited to share that I’m going to be speaking at BVNA (The British Veterinary Nursing Association) Congress in October about my favourite nursing topic; neurology! 😍My first talk will be aimed at veterinary nurses and how to manage spinal patients in GP practice, and my second talk will be neurology 101 for students! 🧠💕
