Resculpting my dragon wings to have more detail. Still needs a lot of smoothing, but I'm liking how the support bones are looking.

Little sculpt I've been working on. He's going to be a tiger, so just imagine the stripes for now! I'm trying a more stylised look than I usually go for and trying to make some more interesting poses. I'm considering working through all of the Chinese Zodiac, I have designs in mind for most of them. Totally stuck on the Monkey and the Rat though. Tiger is my year and I liked my idea for him, so naturally he went first. Dog is next, and then I think I might do Ox.

This version is in Chavant and is currently covered in a layer of silicone pending being cast in resin.

Silicone feline noses for sale! All cast in a nice plat cure silicone and hand painted so they have depth and detail to them. The purple and blue ones also have an iridescent coating to them.

All are backed on calico fabric with wires to help with attachment since silicone is annoying and only sticks to other silicone.

Will be for sale, probably via Etsy. I'll post when they're up, but if you want one before then message me. I'm looking at £12 each for these, except the blue which is £10 because they miscast and needed patching. Should still work though.

I'm also planning on sculpting up some more silicone bits and pieces over summer. Definitely going to do a canine nose, and maybe a tongue. I might do another set of paw pads too. I'm also open for specific commissions if you want something special made!

Foam base for a cute kitty head. I'll be furring it in shades of pink so it'll be a candy coloured kitty! Will be for sale, so I'll probably make a set of paws and a tail to complete the set.

The ears are only tacked on here, they aren't actually that wonky in real life. Also my first attempt at following eyes. They're a really pretty pink/purple colour blend with golden flecks to them.

Behold, Sir Tarquin de Weasel, Jr! He's my most recent university project, and he's an animation puppet. He's designed to be poseable, stands about a foot tall, and is made of foam, chemiwood, fur and fabric scraps among other things. He's got professional animation joints in his elbows and knees and his eyes are set to be moveable. I'm very happy with how he came out, this guy was so fiddly to make but the details are worth the effort.

I'm thinking about making some art dolls along the same sort of lines, but with a little less specialised articulation. Would people be interested in seeing those?

Finished head! I was going for a semi-realistic look,and she's primarily a wolf/cheetah hybrid. She might get more airbrushing down the line, I'm still debating. Resin base head, all parts made by me except the glass eyes, which were at least painted by me. Personal project made to learn new skills and test out some ideas.

Paw pads! With the brown pads the hand pads are on the left, feet pads are on the right. Made of platinum cure silicone and can be cast in pretty much any colour! The mould was made for a personal costume I'm working on, but they should work with most fursuits. At the moment I charge £20 per pair, so for hands and feet it would be £40. If I'm making hands and feet for the same character I pour from the same batch to ensure colour consistency.

I meant to get this posted earlier, but Christmas be Christmas! Sphinx the fairy was finished on time for my uni hand in. She is a silicone animation figure and was hand painted and sculpted by me. Her skirt is hand painted silk with added armature wires. Her wings are super shiny in real life and also wired for poseability. They were also the most fun to make out of the whole thing and would work great if you wanted to make a custom doll or pony with pretty fairy wings!

I've been busy with my university work at the moment, so I thought I'd share a picture of what I've been doing there. This is the fairy figure I've been working on. She's about a foot tall and sculpted in chavant clay, which I have really started to like working with as of late. I've also been joking that she's sculpted at 1:1 scale, so she's life sized! This photo was taken before I started making a mould from her so that I can cast her as a silicone animation figure. You can see some trials for her wings in the background and she will also have a silk painted skirt when she is finished. I tried to get as much detail as possible into her, down to the level of fingernails. Hopefully it will all come through when I make the cast. Sculpting was the easy part I fear!

Also her name is Sphinx and she is the sort of fairy who doesn't care much about humans - unless it's amusing to do so. Luckily she's not very powerful ;)

I'm also going to have some news on some of my other projects coming up soon. I've got a commission nearing completion and some progress on a personal project to share!

I've been working on a new tail design - a jointed dragon tail that sways as you move! The sway motion is working pretty well on this design and the tail features little resin spikes for that dragony look! I can also add fins to the end of the tail and add paint effects if needed. Tail is about 60cm long and sticks out horizontally, so this is not a tail for small or crowded places, but looks great if you've got the space to shake it!

I've been busy over the summer, but I've had the time to work on this head a bit more. Bounder is still a WIP, but I think she's coming along nicely!

Haven't updated the wolf/hybrid head I've been working on for a while. I'm starting to build up the features a bit and she has eyes, ears and a nose now! She also has teeth, but they aren't so visible. I might change her eyelids a bit to soften her expression.

Her main component animals are a wolf/cheetah hybrid, but the ears are a bit more deer like. Since this is just creative liberty for me I wasn't sticking too closely to any creature when I designed her :P

Silicone Nose! I love how this came out. It's made to fit onto the mask I'm currently working on, but it could be incorporated into other heads as well. I used platinum cure silicone so it's also safe for skin contact. I'm going to try other colours too. I think blue could look fantastic.

I'm considering taking commissions for noses. I'm thinking somewhere around £8 per nose, but I'll do a proper post when I've tested how this one works out for me.

I made a resin cast of my canine mask today! It's a little more uneven in places that I would have liked, but it's the first time a rotocast mould has worked this well for me so I'm happy! Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures before I cut the eyes out, but you can see how it's shaping up. Next I'm going to cut the mouth line to hopefully give this a moving jaw.

I've got some smaller resin charms in the works too, so keep an eye out for those in the future!

I've been working on a sculpt for a resin mask today. I've never made one before, but if it goes well I should have a nice basic canine to work with! I've already got a design in mind for it, but I hope it will be super adaptable for other characters as well :D

I've been refurbing my phoenix fursuit and decided that she needed new eyes. These are the new and improved ones made using resin and painted up to match her design. They're so shiny that photographing them is a pain, but believe me when I say that they look so much better than her old eyes. The best thing is if they need replacing in the future I can just cast another set!

I've been experimenting with wing designs. I've got some fairy wngs on the way, but in the mean time how about some lovely sunny wings? Of course I can make them in any colour, but I fancied something warm!

Added a new photo of Merro, the little white dragon puppet who I swear people recognise more than they do me. She is awfully cute though and she does light up so I can hardly blame people for that!

I'm starting research for Maleficent. I've got six pages of art and I've not even started screen capping the film yet. This is going to be a fun one!
