She is half Anatolian shepherd, one quarter German shepherd, and one quarter boxer (that's what the DNA test said anyway). One day while hiking a young couple passed by and asked what kind of dog she is. One of my friends quickly said, "American hiking dog." The couple had a confused look on their face, and I am pretty sure they tried to look up American hiking dog when they got home. Since then, that is the answer whenever someone asks me what breed she is. Lucy's favorite things to do are play frisbee and hike. She is with me on most of my hikes and gets excited as soon as I get a backpack out. I hope you enjoy reading about our adventures together and hope you will share your stories with us.
