I've had a few people ask about the retiring girls. As it stands, now, there are 3 definitely ready.
Pi-3 years old (Nebula daughter-talker) silver/white
Mirabelle-(Xa daughter) 2 years old yellow with blue eyes
And Ziggy--(Terra daughter) seen in this video. Kindest sweetest girl you'll ever find. She really wants me to share my fish 🤣She's 2 1/2.
PM for more details-they could make this trip
I have added updated photos to their original photos in the albums. But here's a video of what it's like getting pics. 😅
Good morning! In this video you will meet Roy--TheDeafGuy transport. He has picked up Mindy and is heading east to Newfoundland. He will be dropping Mindy off in Nova Scotia before he heads to the big Rock.
This IS a qualified option for getting your pups :)
Sitting on the back deck with the puppies, Fonz says he has a message
I'll translate--he says sorry, it looks like the trip East is being canceled BUT there is a few options where people who are interested can look into transport with a few companies who regularly do a route east to west and back.
🥰
Joanne-pick me up!
This morning I weaned Nebula's pups. My goodness what a happy bunch they are-and BIG! They are the same size, maybe a bit bigger, than the pups that are 3 weeks older.
Now every pup is in the barn in front of their own fans. We are under an extreme heat warning this week and, with that warning, I won't be attempting any videos or photos that might stress us all out.
When it comes to feeding your pup it's important to realize that sometimes they're not hungry, especially today with how hot it is, so they are less active. As long as they are still drinking and not throwing up you are good. If terribly concerned, cook up some chicken and rice and give that to them-they WILL eat that.
When they hit 6-8 months their caloric drive will drop off significantly as they have achieved 80% of their growth and will grow much slower until 2. *most of them do. It is still important to watch for growth issues or having too much weight. Still be cautious in their activity because those joints are still developing.
Here is a cute video of Joanne, who has been in the house for the past week. She...doesn't like raw, doesn't like kibble, doesn't like wet food. Easily the most sassy pup I've ever had. What is she eating? Rice, veggies, chicken, yogurt, and hard boiled eggs. And she eats that voraciously. She IS smaller than her siblings, but she isn't that far off what I consider "normal" for a 6 week old pup.
Still a few pups remaining, as well as another female littermate to Joanne (she looks like a rotti with one blue eye).
Alyssum
Alyssum visited the vet this morning too. She is one of the last 2 pups with blue eyes remaining.
Tomorrow is the final day to select your pup. I will be cutting off selection for 6pm EST.
Next week is about switching the pups to raw (for the trip, it is up to you if you want to continue this feeding program) and packing everything-cards, guarantees, collars, information packages for insurance, tips & tricks pamphlets-and my own clothing as well ;)
Thank you, everyone, for your patience this last week. Hay is done and the rain is about to start again. :)
