If your looking for a rider to put miles on your horse then look no further, short enough to ride ponies but tall enough to have a presence on big horses!

While I am an experienced coach I also work as a trainer and rider. I’ve done work with all manner of horses from little Irish cobs to 18.2 showjumpers! If your having an issue with one of your horses give me a call and we can discuss the best course of action to suit both you and your horse.

This is a pony who was just wired to want to run, would have made a great mounted games pony but the owner wanted to try chill her out and make a showjumper out of her. The first video is the owner having a lesson in the first month of owning her. The follow up video is my progress on her two months afterwards. The progress in the videos really shows how much she relaxed and became more confident in only a few weeks!

A bit about me!

As someone new to the area many of you won’t have heard of me just yet so here’s a little bit about me so hopefully if your looking for a trainer or some coaching then you’ll consider R. Roche Coaching and Training!

I moved to the Australia from Ireland at the start of the year with my partner who is a local to the cranbrook area so not many of you will have heard of me, but if your in the market for a coach or someone to do a bit of training or riding for you then I’m your woman!

Coming from a country prized for its horses you can say I know a bit about them! I have spent 5 years producing quality young stock to a high level, in that time I jumped nationally up to 1.30m and eventing up to 1 metre. As many of you will know dealing with youngsters is quite the challenge so why not let someone else give you a hand and help reach your goals whether that be a pleasure horse or a competition horse.

During my time with young horses I started taking an interest in coaching and coached the riders on my yard and helping out where I could. Unfortunately college forced me to move to the other side of the country which is considered a short trip over here but in Ireland it is quite a hike! While doing a course in veterinary bioscience I realized it wasn’t for me and took up a job as a riding instructor in a local stables, teaching people of all ages and abilities from kids first rides to people wanting to qualify for national and international shows , while being mentored by two highly recognized instructors, alongside being the head instructor I was the yard manager so know all about the trials and tribulations of the horse world.
