Do you believe in miracles? Lobo is now a in heaven guiding other to help! This sweet girl showed up at Lobo's beach today - her breathing shallow, her heart rate rapid. Her tag reads, Need Medicine, Call Mom. She was given food and water by Jemma, one of Lobo's Instagram followers who then contacted me! I've reached out to Dogs and Cats of the Dominican Republic DCDR for assistance!..Please say a prayer for Arenita!

has been walking this same stretch of beach in front of for almost eight years. It's amazing how many people just pass on by without even acknowledging his existence. He does seem to find solace in the few friends he makes each day. At night, however, he curls up alone to await the morning sun and the returning in hopes of finding a few scraps of food, water and some friendly scratches. I hate to think how this little dog has endured so many and (including ) on his own... and that one day he may die as he lived - alone. When you visit these resorts, please do visit the , provide them with affection, water and food, let your resort know that these are valued and you are grateful they have been allowed to stay on site. Also please support the great work of organizations like Dogs and Cats of the Dominican Republic DCDR ... they are entirely volunteer run , have performed more than 10,000 and treated countless animals for medical emergencies. They rely entirely on donations to help , , , ! With all our help they can help find homes for all ❤️

For those that visit and help feed , here's just a few tips. Lobo may be shy to eat out of your hand the first time or two. I started by placing food on a rock. He doesn't like the deli meat or the hardboiled eggs. He also seems to find it challenging to chew crunchy parts of meat ... so I found the fatty parts of the bacon (which are in huge supply at the buffet), the real chicken , ham or beef (pulled into little bite sized pieces) and the hamburger (as long as it's not to crispy- no lie he ate the 'inside' of a burger one day when it was too crisp on the outside). I can't see any obvious teeth issues but never know. He may also turn his nose up at the food at first try... but usually will take it on the second or third offering so don't give up. I also noticed some one offered him water in a cup and he didn't drink .... I put a different cup down into the sand so it wouldn't spill and filled it from a bottle of water (free at the resort!) And he drank the whole thing...so he's a bit sensitive to new people (is all I can guess). If anyone gets the chance to meet Lobo the in at please let us know 🙏. Love updates and pics.

This is Julio. He is one of the locals who has taken it upon himself to provide with water on a regular basis. Julio sells excursions on the beach at . If you see him on your next visit to Punta Cana, please SUPPORT him and thank him for what he does for Lobo. I have seen the way Lobo responds to him - with pure joy - and that speaks volumes about Julio. We need to let the locals know that matters. Also please support the great work of charities like Dogs and Cats of the Dominican Republic DCDR ... the more resources these charities have, the more animals they can help. And finally please share sites like this and those of charities who do amazing work. Together we can help all animals like Lobo (and my other hope is that if enough people are aware of Lobo they will continue the chain of kindness that has allowed him to survive all these years). Thanks for caring!
