How lucky am I to have the opportunities to travel to beautiful places like Morven with my favorite horse, and to experience it with such a wonderful team of people? As much as the final results continue to bum me out, the journey of getting here and the experiences around it are invaluable. Sophie had one of her most relaxed, rideable dressage tests to date and then rocketed around a double clear show jump showing that she can keep up with the best of them. Our cross country demons will be overcome at some point, but I’m continuing to treat this season as an educational one and an important one for my character building.
Sophie and I are both indebted to .weiss for all of her help on the ground, and holy wow is she good with a camera!!! All photos aside from the first are taken by Reese 🩵 first photo is thanks to the ever amazing team at 💕
I also am hugely grateful to Jacqui for being the voice I needed on the ground this weekend to keep pushing me forward. Sophie and I had a few breakthrough lessons while staying with Jacqui this week and I look forward to homework to come. 💕
And thank you as always to Drew for your unwavering support of what I do. And for wrangling Wally 🐶

Sophie 🤝 Show Jumping
So proud of her effort even when my riding wasn’t the greatest- her fast and clear round moved us up 13 places in a very competitive (and massive) 1* division!! Onto xc 🔜

Soph and I had a nice confidence boosting run around Course Brook this weekend - it was nice to finally go through those finish flags on xc!! 💚 I felt my super xc horse through most of the course, in between some spooking and bouncing around that I anticipated - but having the easier questions helped her keep going. And to no surprise, she was quite unimpressed by the show jumping 😂 very excited to finish our season at our favorite place in a few weekends 🔜

And a huge congratulations to the entire AKF team for an overall very successful outing, and to .sheff.eventing for her well earned blue 💙 put on a fantastic event, we are so lucky to have a place like this next door. And if you haven’t already, get those entries in to Apple Knoll for this weekend, they are still open and we are looking at a FABULOUS weather weekend for eventing in Area 1!! Hope to see everyone there!
