This years foals will both be sired by none other than the incredibly well decorated GRP Westfalen stallion, Golden State NRW 🤩🦄

We are very fortunate to have a stallion of this calibre currently available to Canadian breeders and I couldn’t pass up the opportunity.
I will have one Curly - GRP and one Arabian - GRP due this summer, both expected to be phenomenal sport prospects in the large pony/small horse size range.

With both my mares being chestnuts and Golden State a Dunalino the colours odds are 25% Chestnut, 25% Red Dun, 25% Palomino, 25% Dunalino.
Chrome on top is very likely!

A fun little comparison between winter coat, freshly shaved and summer coat.

Curly horse curls are best expressed in the winter coat, disappear with clipping but the patterns come back in with the summer growth.

Last year my shaggy bear was really slow at shedding out her winter coat and I opted to body clip her because she was having a rough time when the weather suddenly turned warm.
I prefer to let them shed on their own but I’d rather clip than have a heat related issue. It’s also a good experience for babies to learn about.

This year she seems to be doing a better job a shedding out faster so the jury is out whether she will receive a spring clip this year or not.

I am absolutely excited to see this baby! Only four more months to go 😁
