Brady has an absolutely amazing wavy coat that is a soft as his sweet docile personality. He loves all other dogs, big and small! He sleeps indecently in his crate all night and goes out to potty on a schedule.

Brady is all about the cuddles and wants to be on your lap or with his people/person no matter where they are. He is learning not to jump when he’s excited and is great about 90% of the time. When he first sees you after a long day at work, he still gets super excited and will forget his manners at times.

He rides in cars very calmly without a crate and walks on a leash in public. He has the basics of obedience nailed, but he’s not an independent enough puppy for agility. He’d rather be right at pace with you over moving ahead of you, but he’s always down for a movie or a walk.

Brady is still all boy, but gets along with all other boys and has not had any marking issues in the house. He does require positive reinforcement for training and gets his feelings hurt very easily.

Just a reminder to check your frozen treats for artificial sweeteners before sharing with your Porties.

Dog owners should avoid feeding dogs ice cream, frozen yogurt, and popsicles. Instead, try feeding your dog these vet-approved frozen dog treats.

Just a quick peek at Lakan’s little brother and his nearly identical little sister going to the water for the first time.

Both are available and I will be updating with lots of videos if these two!! They are the only younger puppies that haven’t placed from their litter waiting list.

They are 10 weeks old and ready rule the world.

This is MANDY! It’s still me and it’s my Porties that’s been in my life nearly 2 decades now.

This photo was a double occurance in the past year. To say last year was full of medical surprises and life changes is an understatement. With all of these exciting and scary new changes came a change of location to beautiful Lake Norfork. Change of phone number 870-656-2524. Change of name and tax filing status. (You can chuckle here, I do. lol)

My Porties and I no longer identify as a McGowan. We are just enjoying life on the water as it should be and focusing on the water.

Hopefully now that some of the major medical issues are stabilizing and we are getting acclimated to our new surroundings … we’ll have way more water and Porti pics. We even have a boat now and we’ll be acclimating our puppies to water and boating in preparation for their new homes!

LAKAN OFFICIALLY LEFT TODAY WITH HIS NEW FOREVER FAMILY TO BE A TEXAN! ❤️

Lakan is a 4 month old AKC Portuguese Water Dog male with basic training strutted and crate trained without the barking all night. He loves to swim!!! He is a cuddler snd prefers to be touching his person. He’s very loving of all animals and warms up quickly when meeting new people. He’s an attention grabber for sure.

Lakan was suppose to be my Agility prospect for AKC trials, but he is more suited for lake life, counter surfing, and couch cuddles. He isn’t confident when separated from his people and doesn’t work independently enough to be competitive in the sport like his mom was.

Lakan walks on leash, knows “kennel” on command and doesn’t scream in his crate like new puppies do. His parents are genetically free of health issues and he has a lifetime written health guarantee.

There’s just not a sweeter puppy in the world!

CHICAGO PEOPLE!!!!

This beautiful boy has been found and is missing his family. He does not trace back to any of our families or AKC records, but I believe he is related to our Jag (brothers) based off information given.

Please reach out to your Chicago PWD families to help get this boy home! He is a wavy solid brown male about 2 years old is the information I was given. He is chipped, but his family unfortunately did not register his chip.

THIS IS WHY I STRESS TO YOU TO FILL OUT EVERY FREE CHIP REGISTRY DATA BASE ONLINE AS WELL AS CHECK YOUR LOCAL VETS/RESCUES/SHELTERS/ANIMAL CONTROL TO SEE WHERE THEY CHECK.

His chip number was traced back as belonging to a larger lot of microchips that had one of Julie’s puppies in it from 2020. That is how they found us was the chips being closely related.

Update: Pending his forever home! ❤️ He will be staying close.

Chase is every bit as curious and cute as he looks. He walks very well on leash, is crate trained, prefers quiet surroundings, is lower on the energy level but LOVES toys and hotdogs. If you’re wanting to skip the baby puppy phase this boy is perfect.

This amazing boy is ready for his forever family. He is super smart, very classic Porti look, and wants to please his people. He’s a little shy in new situations and meeting new people, but he warms up quickly. He can go as pet and be neutered or to a possible experienced full rights AKC home.

Clay is now 9 weeks old. Still looking for that extra extra special home. He’s a beautiful, out going, brilliant puppy that is extra playful and loves children. He’s ready for adventure and will be the perfect addition to any family looking for the true Porti experience.

We took Coleman (brown boy) Payden (brown boy) and Drigger (black boy) to meet Digger’s news parents yesterday. I think Coleman knew what was up and decided tackle Drigger every chance he got. 🤣 These puppies are really coming into their own.

Clay is our resident big brother. He’s always trying to keep peace with his siblings and watching over everything. He’s very alert, intuitive, confident and despite his serious look on his face he’s a clown! He’s always got us laughing about something.

UPDATE! Cody is going to live in Minnesota and he’s going to love his new life there! ❤️

Cody is really growing into a beautiful head and ear set. His biggest flex is his personality and infinite love of all people already. Since he’s been old enough to crawl to us he’s been the first to us and always looking for a way to be held or loved. He’s got the perfect amount of equal white to really set his beautiful black wavy coat off. I wish we could keep them all!

UPDATE! Drigger is going to stay in Arkansas and live on Greers Ferry Lake! What a lucky little guy he is. Wonderful family and we enjoyed meeting them and spending time with them.

Little but MIGHTY is a real thing and it’s named Drigger! Won’t even pretend this little package of explosive cuteness isn’t Josh’s favorite. It’s pretty easy to see why. He is available and will be ready for his new home in two weeks.

Laridee Update! If you this girl looks like she’s ready to rule the world, you’d be reading her mind. Laridee was so fun to work with and such a poser. She’s going to be so beautiful (and probably conceited) when she grows up. She’s definitely one I’ll be watching for.

Updated pics of Payden. He’s a dark dark brown boy that was not happy about being that close to the water and not in it. This boy is going to love the water and he’s mastered the Porti stink eye that you will get when you have clearly disappointed your Porti. Yes, the disapproving looks are a real thing and you will get them. 😂
