Elvis Pie - 2008ish - April 2, 2024

Elvis little body has been breaking down and was tired. We tried everything to make him better.

Elvis went to Heaven in our backyard with the sun shining and the birds chirping on April 2, 2024 surrounded by his family. He has had a remarkable life and been so so loved.

Thank you for loving my boy 💙life will never be the same 💔

Elvis attended our monthly dachshund meetup in Boise today (35 doxies were counted!!) This summer marks 10 years since he was left paralyzed and incontinent at the shelter ! What an amazing 10 years we’ve shared 🩵 Elvis Pie is my best friend 💙

2022 Elvis was diagnosed with canine kidney disease. There’s no cure - but supportive care helps maintain quality of life and prevent further damage - We changed diet, added supplements and I administer subcutaneous fluids twice week. He’s the best easiest patient and with support of some fabulous vets, and vet techs!! I feel confident in this new tricky needle skill. I’d do anything for my boy (wish we had compatible kidneys).

Elvis is the bestest boy ! Latest bloodwork shows not so great kidney numbers. We are working with an excellent veterinarian and have changed diet, added supplements and doing subcutaneous fluids at home. Say a little prayer for Elvis 🙏💙 he’s amazing - also he’s my best friend 💙
