2 newest little beans, approx 4 weeks both girls. Found in a truck, mama no where in sight.

2.5 weeks of loving you…it’s amazing how quick you fall in love with them.

Definitely not fair to you my sweet little Rolo.

I wasn’t sure of her outcome, but I am so glad you knew what love was. Your purrs and little head butts were my favorite.

The wave of emotions are overwhelming. She wasn’t going anywhere, even though I’m over my “limit” i knew from the moment I met her she was something special.

Until we meet again my little bug. 🌈🩷

I don’t even want to make this post.

I can’t even believe it.

At roughly 12:45 Rolo crossed the rainbow bridge. I am absolutely heartbroken and in disbelief. My little bean is gone. My heart hurts so much.

I am so sorry for anyone who’s been following and has fell in love with her just as I have. I will be taking a few days to gather my thoughts. This one hit pretty damn hard. I did absolutely everything I could for her but no matter what the guilt will be there. This is the part of fostering I hate.

Rolo update ! Peek a boo!

She’s not out of the woods. But looks like her medication worked a little too well. We have stopped the diarrhea medication and she is now getting probiotics. They gave her a warm bath, massaged that big ol’ belly of hers and the vet said lots of p**p came out. They gave her an e***a and she is resting.

She will continue with her eye medication until her eyes clear up, and will continue with the bum cream until that clears up.

I have cried for her, I snuggle with her all the time, my heart just breaks for her. She still has a long way to go, but I am praying she will overcome any obstacles that come her way. She’s already a warrior 😻 keep fighting little girl.

What a rollercoaster of emotions.

Her belly is distending now, the diarrhea has stopped but now she’s having issues p**ping.

My heart is breaking for her 😭😰 send your prayers for this little bean. She’s been through so much already 😭😭😭

Hi everyone!

First things first….Rolo has started grooming herself!!! This is amazing! She’s sleeping right now but her eyes have opened!!! Once she’s awake i will try and get a picture 😻🥰

Rolo is going to be just fine thanks to your donations. Her little bum is pretty sore right now as you can see in the video. She is on medication for diarrhea (which has caused irritation to her little bum) and is now on an anti inflammatory cream for her bum.

She’s not out of the woods, but her will to fight is stronger than ever. She is a warrior 😻

What a p**p storm. Poor Rolo!!

She is still fiesty and on the move. Hoping the forti flora will offer her some relief.

Forti flora and pedialyte method has begun. In my experience over the last few years, bottle babies always seem to get some tummy troubles.

Hopefully by putting her on this routine it will clear up her belly ♥️ if not, she will go to the vet.

She is strong and she’s a fighter ♥️ let’s do this Rolo 😻😘

Little Rolo is coming back to the Neo Nook today, she will be staying with us until we can get her belly under control. She has stopped gaining weight (crucial right now) and she has the p**ps. Most likely the constant switching from mamas milk to the supplemental formula feeds.

Even the slightest drop in weight is critical.
Firing up the incubator now so it’s nice and toasty warm for her ♥️

BIG NEWS!!

The Neo Nook is moving!

I run this Nursery out of my own home. I currently rent, and my tiny apartment isn’t cutting it anymore.

I have found a place that will allow me to properly space things out and have a better work space to take care of the little beans that come through here. I will also have a much needed room for donations (instead of every corner in my apartment 😂).

I get the keys April 1st!!! Super exciting!!!!

Kitten season is here! It hit me like a freight train. I was up every 2 hours last night with Rolo. She is now back with her new mama and siblings. She missed them so much but I needed to get her weight up.

With that being said.

Fun fact Friday-

In a normal week in kitten season (3 to 4 kittens at a time), I would go through a minimum of 1-2 large cans of kmr a week.

It is insane what I go through. Now imagine how that times however many litters we all have as Caregivers of Petrolia Ferals. We could have 10-15 fosters with kittens. Sometimes more than that. I remember 2 seasons ago I had 13 kittens on KMR…13!!!! I was going through a can a day.

And the P**P! So much p**p 😫😂

If you can, we need your help. We wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for our dedicated followers and fosters. We appreciate you every single day.

These babies depend on it ♥️ thank you for all that you do. Rolo thanks you ♥️😻🐾

Newest resident of The Neo Nook ♥️

Rolo is the only surviving kitten from her litter. Her mama was a kitten herself and rejected all 3 babies.

Caregivers of Petrolia Ferals placed her with another mama that just gave birth a few days prior. She took Rolo on as one of her own but unfortunately Rolo was just not putting on the weight. That’s when we stepped in and decided to put the incubator to the test. Every 2 hours we will syringe feed and monitor her weight and food intake very closely.

She is a fighter ♥️😻

Welcome the first kittens of 2024 to The Neo Nook!

Thankfully they still have their mama which is not usually the case when they come to The Neo Nook.

So these mini panthers along with their mama, will be going to another fosters with Caregivers of Petrolia Ferals.

Mama and babies are healthy and strong!!

Soon shelters and rescues will be inundated with with cats and kittens. Some healthy, some sick, some dying. How can YOU help?

🔹 If you find kittens, reach out immediately for assistance, but offer to keep them until the shelter or rescue has time to make a plan. They are more likely to help you, if they can, if you give them a little time to prepare.

🔹 Do not remove young kittens from their mom! If the kittens look healthy, the mom is around even if you don't see her. Leave the kittens alone unless they are skinny, dirty or cold. But keep a lookout. You'll need to trap mom when the kittens are a little older and are able to eat on their own (and rescue the kittens), unless you have the knowledge and are prepared to take care of them earlier.

🔹 Offer to foster! Don't complain about your shelter if you are not willing to help your shelter.

🔹 Look up trap neuter return programs in your area to see what's available. If no programs exist, borrow or buy a trap. Check to see if there is low-cost spay/neuter in your area. All adult cats, male or female, pregnant or not, NEED to be spayed or neutered.

🔹 Donate to your local rescues or shelters. This time of year is VERY expensive for them. They go through a lot more supplies and vet bills are more extensive.

🔹 Be an advocate for spay and neuter! Help to educate the general public by sharing informative posts and letting people know resources available for them locally.
