It's hot outside, remember they have a fur coat on! Here are some important things you can do to help pets cope in these higher temperatures.

Quick & Easy summer frozen treat takes :
🥄 Spoon plain natural yoghurt into a bowl

An older vet once told me;

''If you have a hole in the base of your boat and the water keeps flowing in, your boat fills up with water. This water, you need to remove to regain your functional boat. Treating the symptoms of disease is the same as continuously using a bucket to empty the water out of the broken boat. Bucket after bucket, keeping up with the problem, but not really looking at the root cause. What we need to do is to look beyond the water in the boat and ask: where is it coming from, and how do we fix the hole?''
..or something like that(he would also probably say not to quote him!)
Don't cover up a problem with a plaster. Whether this is in the form of repeat subscriptions or when conventional medications just aren't working as well for the problem as they had initially...You have to look at the problem and not just the symptoms to create a long term resolve.

What this means to me?
When a dog or cat is sick, don't overlook the microbiome, don't forget the environmental patterns, digging deeper into understanding the why and how instead of fighting the tide with surface level treatments.

**Conventional medications are often needed and please always seek veterinary advise but also know that herbal and alternative veterinary practices are there to help and support alongside these medications or as an alternative path to healing with the correct guidance. 🌱😊🐶🐾🩺🐱
