Equine Training Bracelet Light weight training device to help stop horses from tripping and also to correct gait issues. This training aid is designed to help stop horses from tripping.

Tripping is a common problem for many horses and can be dangerous for both horse and rider. Please read the full description below of this training aid. If you have any questions please message this page. If you would like to purchase a set message me here with your regular email address and I will invoice you via Paypal. You do not need an account and can pay with a credit, debit, checking accoun

t or Paypal account. It is a secure server and guaranteed safe by Paypal. The training bracelet was also designed to help horses gait correctly. If you have a gaited horse that paces you would put one on each of the front hooves. If the gaited horse is trotting you would put one on each of the rear hooves. The cost is $25 for a set of two and that includes free shipping. Other uses:
To extend the trot: One on each hoof. To teach leads: One bracelet goes on the hoof you want to lead with. Work on one lead at a time. Teach canter: Same method as leads

I don't just sell the bracelets. As part of the deal I offer complete gait analysis at no charge. This can cost as much as $150 and is completely FREE! Just email me a before video and I will assist you with how to proceed. Then I ask that you send "after" videos so I can assess the horse's progress with you. The video will be converted to slow motion with notations made on important frames. The video analysis is far more expensive than the training aids themselves and makes the purchase well worth your time and money. This device was not designed to be a money maker but a life saver. When you think of all the horses that are misunderstood, frustrate their owners because of poor gaits, or even harm themselves and their riders by tripping and falling...consider how many horses this may save. Many horses end up being sold at auctions and even end up being slaughtered. All too often this happens because of an accident or because a rider can not get a gaited horse to do what it was meant to do. This becomes very frustrating to the owners and the horse is passed from owner to owner. This device is approximately 2 ounces, can not and will not harm the horse in any way. The plastic balls roll and the entire bracelet rattles around on the hoof and pastern causing the horse to focus their minds on this foreign item on their hoof. People often try to accomplish this with weight. The problem with weight is that the horse will grow accustomed to any fixed item very quickly and defeat the purpose. There are metal training rollers that weigh 7 to 8 times what my bracelets weigh. It is my opinion that these devices because of the weight can bruise and even harm a horse. The training aid I have created is not based on weight but on retraining the horses mind. As you ride the bracelets move around causing the horse to focus on whats moving. If you work the horses gait with the proper desired result in a short amount of time the horse will begin to realize this is what you are asking of them. It's all done by association! Then once the bracelets are removed the horse will continue to do what you asked based on consistency, the retraining you have done, and the cues you are asking for. If you just slap the bracelets on the horse will immediately walk and lift their hooves differently. It is now up to you and I to tell the horse what is desired and retrain the way they move. I have had some trainers criticize these aids by saying all too often people are looking for a quick fix and it takes a lot of time and proper fitting/training to correct these things. We all know that realistically many of us do not have the time or money to spend on expensive trainers. If these training aids can help people help their horses at a cheap price...then why not. This is something that anyone can use and I promise to help you along the way. This product is made of materials that you can pick up in the store yourselves but will cost you more to make than I am selling them for. I buy in bulk, include free shipping and my services. So as you can see...this is not about making money but about helping people help horses. And by the way...a portion of every sale goes to equine rescue groups or wild horse preservation groups. These groups were chosen by the fans on another page..."Tennessee Walkers And Spotted Saddle Horses The Natural Way."

Working with a pacey horse. I made this video around 2010 or 11. I also was using different color fluorescent leg wraps so you could see the movement better. Today when I sell a set of 4 bracelets I put fluorescent orange balls in two of the sets. You can place them diagonal to watch the trot or laterally for the gaited horse

Here is a letter from someone in Europe that purchased these bracelets along with my response.

Hi Drew! The package arrived today -I LOVE the super light weight of them! Can't wait to try them out!

Drew - I put the bracelets on my horses feet and he was not bothered by them a bit - did pick his legs up very, very nicely! I am wondering if they have a rather "instant" effect? Next day he was still picking up his feet nicely and not schlurfing them on the ground - wonder if they help with body spacial awareness somehow? great stuff, super product!
Drew
Every horse I ever used them on it was immediate. I wrote up a big thing about it on my page a while back. I thought I pasted on the store link. Anything fixed that doesn't move they get accustomed to. Because these move...rattle around...the horse focuses on them. I have found them to have a mental affect.... Great for the young A.D.D horse who has a wondering mind. I even use the analogy of a computer meter that shows processor utilization. when the horses focus is wondering and "not" on you their focus to the task at hand is low becuz their processor is being used up wandering These have a way of getting the horses mind on their hooves... Not so much on surroundings which can be very distracting. For horses that have gait issues... Especially tripping what better way to fix than to get them to focus on their hooves...pasterns and fetlocks where these bracelets reside

Many years ago when I was trying to understand the placement and timing of the gaited horses I decided to use different colored leg wraps so that my eyes and brain could see even at speeds greater than the walk. After a short time this trained my mind and eyes to be able to see this without the wraps. While processing orders last week I ran out of all black and only had one set left. I had already ordered some but they had not arrived yet. So...I found a local source at 5 times the price and they only had this fluorescent orange. Seeing them brought me back long ago to that day I decided to use different colored leg wraps. So now I am offering the training bracelets either in all black or 2 black and 2 orange if you choose a set of 4. As you can see in the photos there are different configurations. The 2 blacks on one side and 2 orange on the other to differentiate placement and timing on a laterally gaited horse...2nd photo is blacks up front and orange in the back to understand what the front hooves do vs. the rears and lastly the diagonal placement to understand the trot or Fox trot.

Many horses are improperly trimmed. The natural angle for most horses is approximately 50 degrees yet I have seen some as high as 60 and as low as 40. Too long a toe causes the tendon to stretch and hurt the horse in the long term. Too short a toe causes the horse to lift more vertically. Although this may be desirable for certain trotting breeds and maybe even Paso Finos that walk on a board for show, It will ruin a horse meant to do a 4 beat lateral gait such as Walkers, Rocky MTN horses, Spotted Saddle Horses, Racking Horses etc. Here is an online gauge I created that gives an idea of angles. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10151146663876497.430290.223908796496&type=3

Someone just asked if these are only for gaited horses. Here is my response: We have a paint and a quarter horse. I created these over 7 years ago and have used them on one hoof to help them learn their leads when cantering, I use one on each front when trying to stop a horse from tripping and when you use four it actually helps them extend the trot. In any situation where you would want more lift or reach it can affect gait. Right now I am using a small set I made to help a 7 month old do the Spanish walk!

Here is the hoof gauge I created to evaluate hoof angles online. It requires you sending me a photo using the following guidelines. When sending a picture of your horses hooves you must be square to the side of the horse (hoof center) perpendicular to the hoof being evaluated. It's best to do all 4 and I have included a diagram of where the camera should be. If you are at any angle other than di rect to the center of the hoof the results will be off. One last thing. The camera must also be on the ground...the same level as the hoof.

Here is a video of a Pacey Tennessee Walker that I have owned since 2000. He was bred to pace for the show world so I used him as an example here. Also in this video is a set of leg wraps I sell to help you see how your horse is moving. They come either fluorescent yellow and green or bright red and electric blue. You would put two of the same color on the two lefts for a laterally gaited horse and diagonals to view the trot. A set of 4 leg wraps is $25 and include free shipping and free video gait analysis.

Training bracelet and highlighter Polo wraps...just two of the tools I use along with slow motion hi definition cameras to evaluate and correct the gait of a...
