Adopt An Angel Dedicated to changing the lives of shelter dogs for the better through training and education. Welcome to our page please like and share with your friends.

Please help us spread the Adopt an Angel message. With love and knowledge no dog has to die in a shelter. We want Adopt An Angel to be more than a "dogs for adoption page." We want everyone that visits us to find motivation and inspiration that moves them to make a difference in the life of a dog. We want those of you that already know the reasons a dog becomes homeless to share your stories and y

our knowledge. We want to do away forever with the " I didn't know" problem that causes K9 homelessness and the death of so many healthy, loving family pets. Every dog you see listed on Adopt An Angel is a dog that was betrayed by humans. Not necessarily betrayed by a bad person, often by a person that "didn't know"
Every dog listed is being given individual attention and training to help them understand how to behave in a human world. Every dog is being trained to become a Canine Good Citizen. The dogs you will find here will be adopted into loving families with a support system to prevent failure. For each dog we will give as much information as possible on how they became homeless, information on each of their personal journeys through training and on their adoption process. We hope as we grow and gain friends we will be able to show and change the fact that every homeless dog could have and should have been prevented. We warn you that much of what you will find here may sound judgmental toward human actions and decisions. We do not mean to judge as much as we mean to inform. We mean to offer alternatives to such decisions rather than condemnation. We mean to be a voice for the homeless dogs as well as for those humans that work so hard but still must bear the pain of not being able to save them all.

Today is national black dog day!
Are you aware of black dog syndrome? And black cat syndrome? Black dog syndrome refers to the idea that black-colored dogs may not be adopted from shelters as quickly and easily as lighter-colored dogs. Same with black cats.

I adopted my Massey because she is black and she is a tripod. Very unlikely to get adopted. We love her so much!!!
