Mommy really shouldn't yell "Damn It, Chance" when I get past her when she goes out the door. It is so embarrassing. The whole neighborhood heard her tonight. AND I mean the WHOLE Neighborhood heard her.

Getting a good nap in before Mommy starts screaming for her Kansas City Chiefs later this afternoon. Once the game starts there will be no sleeping and all the kitties will need ear plugs. Mommy gets loud.

It feels good being back to my old self again. I had a rough week. Just wasn't feeling myself. Mommy couldn't figure it out. She couldn't understand why i was not myself as pwe had been to the vet the week before and I had a good check up. She thought at first I was trying to get a furlog up. But I normally don't act sick....

She knew it wasn't my shot because it had been several days since. She knew I was having some trouble sometimes jumping up on the counter and bed. She checked my hind legs and watched me walk. She saw I favored my left hind leg just ever so slightly.

She figured I must be in some pain and made an appointment for the vet.

We got to the vet and had a long wait. I hung out in my carrier. Mommy decided to spoil me and play my favorite bird video on her phone. It was a good way to pass the time.

The vet came in and did a thorough examination. When she touched my left leg, I let out a low growl. She did an X-ray and everything looked normal. The vet thinks I have a soft tissue injury. Mommy thinks I may have hurt myself running with the kittens. We have hardwood floors and sometimes it is hard to stop when you have fur on the bottom of your paws.

The vet gave Mommy Malexicam to help with the pain. I wasn't happy with the first dose. The second dose, Mommy gave it to me and I wanted to chew the syringe to get any residual medicine. That stuff is the bomb! It is way better than Nip.

I had no problems taking my last dose. I smelled the syringe and knew I was getting the good stuff. I gladly took my medicine. I tried again to chew the syringe to get every last bit.

Mommy is hoping that the medicine helped calm down any inflammation and that I continue to heal. It will still be a bit before I run with the kittens.
