We are a 501c3 nonprofit that works with the local communities and animal rescue groups to raise awareness of homeless pets by providing education, intervention, low cost vaccinations, chips & fix it programs, grooming, and behavioral training.

📣 We are excited to announce that CCAS, in partnership with Contra Costa County Supervisor Ken Carlson, is hosting a FREE Microchip clinic for Contra Costa County residents on Sunday, June 23rd! Join us from 9 AM to 1 PM at Michael’s Parking Lot in Pleasant Hill. They have 100 Microchips available on a first-come, first-served basis—no appointment needed!

🐾 Community Pet Care Event Announcement 🐾

With the rising costs of veterinary care and pet food, we are seeing a surge in requests to relinquish pets to the shelter. To help ensure all pets in our community stay healthy and fed, please spread the word!

We are thrilled to announce that, in conjunction with Joybound People & Pets (formerly ARF), we will be hosting our third free pet vaccination clinic of 2024 at Antioch Animal Services this Saturday, June 15th at 8am.

📅 Event Details:
📍 Location: Antioch Animal Services
🕗 Time: Registration begins at 8am
🐶 Services Provided:

- Free vaccinations
- Free preventative care
- Free microchips
- Free harness fittings
- Free cat & dog food
- Resources for veterinary services, including affordable spay/neuter
- Amnesty for late dog license renewals

This event is open to all residents of Contra Costa County and will continue monthly at various locations throughout the County. It is first come, first served, so be sure to arrive early!

California Adopt-a-Pet Day is this Saturday, June 1st! We are joining rescues and shelters all across California to offer a day of free adoptions and find homes for as many animals as possible. 🙏
