Please help our farmers

How to Help Farmers:

Many of you asked us, what could you do to help. 🫶 🫠

Ask and you shall recieve..❤️

The Farm Bill comes up every 5 years, and men (and women) in suits vote on farm stuff. In a nut shell: The Farm Bill is exactly that, bills, rules, things added or taken away (on paper) that will either hurt or help farms decided on by folks in suits, and enforced by 3 & 4 lettered agencies.

Last year, it was decided to extend the Farm Bill until the 30th of September 2024. So, that's good, as we all have time, to make our voice heard on many issues.

Some of you asked us, what is Food Freedom? If you ask Google: it's not feeling guilty about your food choices, (this was mainly a term used around dieting or not dieting). However, Food Freedom in the Ag world, is the freedom for consumers and farmers to buy/sell food. Such as raw milk, beef, and pork.

Some states have enacted a Food Freedom Act, and it varies by State, as to what is allowed or not allowed to be sold by farmers, and or purchased by consumers.

Food should be a right, no person, state, or government should dictate what you can buy or how you can buy it.

There are many issues/topics coming up for Congress to vote on Sept 30th. Make your voice heard, let your State & Local Representatives, know that you support family farms.

CALL (don't email) and say:
Hi, my name is ###, I am a concerned constituent, I am calling to ask that you vote for family farms, that you hope he/she will vote for any and all upcoming bills, that support family farms and vote against any bills that will make it more difficult for family farms to survive. That you support Food Freedom.

Find you Representative:
https://www.house.gov/representatives/find-your-representative

If raw milk is illegal in your state, express that you are an advocate to for raw milk consumption, I mean alcohol and ci******es can be purchased why not raw milk?

Ask them to vote for FOOD FREEDOM, and allow people to decide who or where they want to buy their foods from. There are many rules and each state varies, for instance some states don't allow the sales of canned foods, some don't allow granny to can her hot peppers, for the ph may be to high. There are a lot of rules, that honestly, are hurting, smaller family farms vs helping.

The Prime Act is another act sponsored by Rep. Massie, the bill is GREAT, as it would allow us smaller farmers to sell cuts of beef and pork to you, without having to use a USDA Inspected facility. There is a lot confusion on this. There are state Inspected butchers (let's call them the smaller and local butchers) who follow the same guidelines for butchering beef, pork, etc. The only difference is they are State Inspected vs Federally Inspected. So, if we as farmers want to sell you cuts of Beef or pork, in packages, we have to use a USDA Inspected facility, which costs more, and in our case, is very far away, meaning the livestock would have to travel farther, which costs more, and adds added stress not needed to the livestock. Where as our local butcher, who is State Inspected, prefers to comes to us, and is closer, and local. Keeping business local and most importantly not adding any stress to the livestock.

There are many other topics that will be voted on, and as you can see, not all of those elected have everyone's best interests in mind.

If we all speak up, maybe, just maybe, we can be heard.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and for wanting to help farmers everywhere. 🙏
