Sophia is walking!
🐾 VIDEO: Watch Sophia's A-meow-zing Recovery!! 🐾
You may recall that Sophia came to us with a badly broken leg. But, thanks to the incredible support from the community, she got the surgery she needed on November 12th.
And now… look at her go! 🐱✨ Sophia is walking around like nothing ever happened — she's as good as new!
Sophia's journey is a beautiful reminder that with a little love and support, happy endings are possible. Thank you for being part of Sophia’s story! ❤️

Patches
PATCHES here. So….I guess we are doing our own posts now? How did this happen?
OK, let’s go over the basics. I was previously an outside cat, who got trapped. Once inside, I realized it was a pretty good deal, so I decided to live inside with human servants. I am 8-10 years old in your human years. I am vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped.
I am looking for a very unique forever home. You know, where you wait on me, spend money on me, meet all my needs, and expect nothing in return. Ok, I will, occasionally, and on my terms, show affection. If you like your space, good news--you will not need to worry about me being clingy or needy!
I am good with being petted, as long as I am feeling safe. Right now, my favorite safe place is a rubber tub with a cat bed in it. Check out the attached video!
OK, ready for a surprise? When you brush me, and at mealtime, I love to talk!
I am OK with other cats. I am particularly fond of my friend Stripes, who is in a foster home with me, and available for adoption. We were actually trapped together! Stripes will also have a post this week. Not that you need an extra incentive, but our adoption fees are waived thanks to some generous humans.
Do you think that you are ready to love an independent and aloof gal who calls the shots? You can find out more about me, or adopt me, by filling out a no-obligation cat adoption application. A link to the HSLC adoption page is in the comments section.
Some photos of me are also in the comment section. I know, I am rather photogenic!

Violin being adorable!
Hi everyone, my name is Violin. You can also call me Peanut Butter Toes. I am one incredible cat! I am about 2 years old and have a beautiful tortoiseshell coat. Because I am tired of waiting for my forever home, I have decided to write my own bio.
I love attention, especially getting pets. All visitors to the home should know that they will need to pet me. No exceptions. I will gladly sleep at the end of your bed so that I can get pets as soon as you wake up!
While I would be OK with another cat in the home, I do not like kittens. They are just annoying! Any furball under 4-pounds deserves nothing but contempt. Don’t even think about pulling a fast one on me with a kitten. My foster family can tell you that I have cat age radar for when a cat has reached my 4-pounds requirement.
Because I like to give positive rewards to humans, when you call my name, I will roll over on my back and put my paw over my face. I am just so adorable! I have attached a video so you can see just how adorable I am.
While I love my foster family, they are dedicated fosters who know that when I find my forever home, they will be able to foster more animals and save more lives. Plus, they like to foster kittens. Can you believe it? Please, save me from the kittens!
Ready to learn more about me, or adopt me? Fill out a no obligation cat adoption application, and the humans that work for me, aka HSLC volunteers, will take it from there. Thanks to a generous sponsor, my adoption fee is waived! I am fully vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped. The link to the HSLC adoption page is in the comment section.
If you want to smile, check out the photos of me in the comment section.
