A neighbor girl a few years my junior brought over her new puppy, a white teacup poodle. I found out her parents purchased the puppy from a local breeder who still had more puppies. My parents informed me to get a puppy of my own I needed to raise the money. I chose a caramel colored male and registered/named him Kim’s Dandy Brandy. Although my family had previously owned a little, mixed breed dog
named Fluffy, Brandy was all mine. We were inseparable for ten years. Unfortunately, his life was cut short due to seizures. I will never forget him however and my love for Brandy ignited my continuing love for all dogs, especially the teeny ones. Fast forward a few decades, I now have a family of my own. In the late 1990’s we brought home a teeny Pug puppy we named Tinkerbell. In 2007, we adopted a year-old puppy we thought was a mixed breed which later we discovered was a Swedish Laaphund (very rare in the U.S.). We named him Jack. Nearly a year later we realized he needed to have a friend, so my husband took me to the Humane Society where we adopted a one-year-old half Pomeranian half Chihuahua. He is an eleven-pound teeny guy we call Peanut. My kids are all grown (for the most part 😊). My father passed of Lewey Body Dementia in 2010. My mother is still with us, but in poor health. As a result, we have come to realize we would like to spend as much time together as a family as possible. My hope is that teenypups LLC will allow me to provide additional income to make that possible. In addition, I hope it will allow me to help my mother financially.
