Senior male pug-mix dog found in Barmann Park, Kingston. No ID, no collar. Does have microchip, but unable to make contact. Safe at Ulster County SPCA. Contact 845-331-5377 with any information. Cross posted to Lost Pets of The Hudson Valley.

🐝 🤩Did you know, those little bees you see in the evening sitting on flowers are old bees.
Old & sick bees don't return to the hive at the end of their day.
They spend the night on flowers, and if they have the chance to see another sunrise, they resume their activity by bringing pollen or nectar to the colony.
They do this sensing that the end is near.
No bee waits to die in the hive so as not to burden the others.
So, next time you see an old little bee sat upon a flower as the night closes in.....thank the little bee for her life long service.

We hear it every year...but the windows are cracked...the A/C is running...I only ran in for a minute... These are all unacceptable excuses for a pet dying a horrible death inside a hot car. Cracking windows makes no difference, A/C has stopped working before and it's never "one minute." None of these excuses are worth your pet's life.

As the temperatures soar this week, LEAVE YOUR PETS HOME! Our Humane Law Enforcement officers will be on alert this week for animals left in cars, and we will hold owners accountable. We always want to educate and assist before resorting to enforcement, but with temperatures as high as they will be and the danger it presents, is a must to ensure .

**Update: OWNER LOCATED!!**

🦜 Found Bird Alert 🦜

It's not everyday that we find a parrot just hanging out downtown, but today just happens to be one of those days. ACO Small was monitoring multiple reports that there was a strange bird flying through different neighborhoods over the last few days, and lo and behold, this guy was the culprit. He was safely captured and a kind member of our Finance Department has volunteered to house him for the night. If you or someone you know lost a bird, call us and he'll flap on home.

Looking for the owner of a Duck that was injured on 2/2/24
I’m a licensed wildlife rehabber who was brought a duck that was hit by a car on February 2 across from Hyatts garage in East Fishkill. The finder thought it was a wild duck. It’s actually a Pekin duck, so it’s definitely someone’s pet. Just reaching out to the community in hopes to find the owner
