After an illustrious and impactful career in veterinary medicine, Dr. Scott Bainbridge, is announcing his retirement. This news marks the end of a distinguished journey that has touched countless lives—both human and animal—across the globe.

For 25 years, Dr. Bainbridge has been a trusted presence in the High Park/Roncesvalles Village community, where he has lived since 1999 with his wife, son, and their beloved pets. With an Honours Bachelor of Science in Animal Behaviour from the University of Toronto and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Ontario Veterinary College, Dr. Bainbridge quickly became known for his dedication to veterinary excellence, compassionate care, and tireless advocacy for animals.

Throughout his career, Dr. Bainbridge’s contributions have extended well beyond his practice. He has been deeply involved in global veterinary efforts, particularly in Latin America, where he works on an ongoing pet sterilization program that encourages veterinarians from around the world to volunteer their services. His work with Golden Rescue, one of Canada's largest single-breed rescues, has helped bring over 4,000 homeless golden retrievers from international shelters to forever homes in Canada.

Dr. Bainbridge's commitment to public service has earned him numerous accolades, including the OVMA Award of Merit for his outstanding contributions to the veterinary profession and public welfare. His work has touched many, from establishing veterinary camps for children in Australia to providing free medical care for shelters in the area.

While Dr. Bainbridge’s presence in the clinic will be greatly missed, his legacy of care, compassion, and service will continue to inspire those who have had the privilege of working with him. As he transitions into this well-deserved retirement, we celebrate his remarkable career and extend our heartfelt thanks for his years of dedication to the veterinary profession, to animals, and to the community.

Please join us in congratulating Dr. Bainbridge on his retirement and wishing him the very best in this exciting new chapter of life.
