Technically I am cross between a Border Terrier and a Shi Tzu - but don't call me a mongrel though, I'm a pure bred Nemo! If you see me out on walks or in the car you might think I am a cross between a wolf and a tornado siren because I am VERY protective of the car and my people. I was adopted by my mom and dad from the Nebraska Humane Society (a bit like the RSPCA in England). The rescue center
thought I was about six months old but it turned out I was barely even four months at the time. I was rescued by the Humane Society after I had been abandoned and left stray for about a month in the harsh snows of Nebraska's winter. When I was rescued I was put into a special program called 'The Molly Project' which diverts 'special needs' dogs from being put to sleep. I was in there because I had learned to be very very protective of my food while I was very hungry and trying to survive. It's hard to trust people when you are close to dying if you do. My mom and dad were warned that they must be careful not to take food or treats away from me in case I panic and they had to sign a special form saying they were ok with this. Then I fell in love...
My mom and dad realized that I was ridiculously cute and they spoiled me ever so much and they bought a puppy friend at the time called Chloe so we could keep each other company. She is a pedigree English Cream Retriever. We are best friends. I learned to trust my family and especially my dad who thinks he adopted me but really I adopted him. He works from home so I sit in his office no more than a few feet away from him every single day. We moved to Dallas, Texas a few years ago. I love sunbathing. My dad is allowed to take food and treats from me now because I learned that love conquers all - am I soppy or what? (Plus he gives me so many treats now anyway - mom says it's too many, I say no way!). Anybody else though better watch out for their fingers - I do warn them, very loudly because I am very skeery.. I do *not* get put in a 'crate' (cage) because my dad is originally from England and he's a bit crazy like that and has taught me instead not to chew things - it took a while though and when I was little I ate a 'thundershirt' when I was cross. They decided I didn't need one after that; ha! I love my mom and snuggle against her at night. I also love my Brittany who is my human 'sister'. I wag my whole body when mom or Brittany come home! I live in a house that never hits dogs and loves animals. It's kind of a cool thing. There is no hidden purpose to this page - I'm not famous or a meme or anything - it's just pictures of me and Chloe and sometimes our cousin Lucy the floofy toy poodle. We don't want your money and have no politics or product to sell; just be kind to animals and we're cool.
