Forte Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to saving animals. We are a registered 501(c)3.

Adoption Events are held on the *first and third Saturday of each month* at Centinela Feed & Pet Supplies in Mar Vista. Please stop by and meet our available dogs!

Forte Animal Rescue offers refuge for homeless dogs until they are placed in their permanent homes. In order to successfully rescue and place

the dogs with new families, we rely solely on donations. Once a dog is under our care, we never give up on any dog regardless of behavioral issues or medical challenges, which often means we incur significant expenses for veterinary treatment, behavioral rehabilitation, and boarding for dogs who take more time and care to adopt out. Forte also offers a structured Junior Volunteer program with hands-on experience, run by a certified high-school teacher. We are dedicated to inspiring compassion and educating the youth about the animal protection. Many children are learning the importance of spay/neuter and proper care of the animals while volunteering with us, and some are so inspired that they have decided to become veterinarians. Donations or any support is always greatly appreciated. Donations can be made online (www.FARescue.org) or via regular mail at PO Box 10085, Marina del Rey, CA 90295. We are also looking for foster homes for our rescued dogs, along with volunteers to help our adoption events.

I was left behind on a property with two other canine friends. Those lucky girls already found their forever homes, but I’m still looking. I’ve been told that I’m very sweet and cute. I’m initially a bit shy but warm up and trust quickly. I’m a cuddler and like to give gentle kisses. I feel comfortable around calm people. While I wouldn’t call myself a social butterfly, I get along with other doggies just fine. I’m ready to meet my forever family. Might it be you?

Last April, when I was about eight weeks old, I was in a pound in Apple Valley, where I was scared of being killed for space. Then some good Samaritans decided to save my life by fostering me. The problem is, I have tons of energy; too much for my foster parents, who are on in years. I need a home with young adults, and maybe an older teenager or two, who have time to work and play with me. My foster parents have given me a good start with a six-week training course with other dogs, and four trainer sessions at their home. With more training, I will excel and make you proud! 🐕

A very nice lady found my mom and my siblings and I on the street and brought me home to her house! I might be a big girl but I am sweet and gentle like a baby lamb. I LOVE people and I especially love to go for rides in the car or for a walk with a leash (so I don’t get lost again). I would love a family to love and cuddle, and that would be my best wish.

I’m just a sweet guy whose previous owner (who failed to be my guardian) didn’t seem to have time for me and gave me up to find a better home, so I’m looking for my human who will never discard me. Adopt Nikko!! 🩵

Nikko is an old soul in a young dog’s body; he is so sweet and extremely loving he just cannot have enough. All this poor guy asks from you is to give him much love & affection to feel safe, and not to be let down again by another human to whom he opens his heart to trusting. This sweetheart has been wronged by humans subjecting him to a life of hell and almost death. His spirit and heart having been broken before, he now clings to the one who is caring for him and showing compassion and love. It is time for the right person to give this guy the love he needs and deserves - a forever loving home! Someone who will play with him, throwing the ball for him, taking him on hikes and to the park. Nikko loves car rides and feeling the wind in his face. He loves running and would be a great companion for an active person who runs, bikes, skateboards, or roller-blades.

My story is sadly too common: I was found wandering the streets in LA and saved by some folks from Forte Animal Rescue who took care of me and are getting me healthy. Yes, I’ve had a hard life, and obviously some puppies, but I really love people and other dogs and I’m pretty easy to take care of. People who meet me say I’m an angel in disguise. 🪽

Hi! I’m calm, I mean really calm, like a couch potato. I’m ok with other dogs if they’re mellow and don’t pester me (same with kids), and I do love my walks and car rides. I also like laying outside in the sun. I do get a little hesitant with new things and people, but I’ll snuggle if you give me time to get used to you, and you can pet me. I know, I’m sounding like a princess, but I’m really not. If you have patience, I will be your girl. ☃️
