Adoption Events are held on the *first and third Saturday of each month* at Centinela Feed & Pet Supplies in Mar Vista. Please stop by and meet our available dogs!

Forte Animal Rescue offers refuge for homeless dogs until they are placed in their permanent homes. In order to successfully rescue and place
the dogs with new families, we rely solely on donations. Once a dog is under our care, we never give up on any dog regardless of behavioral issues or medical challenges, which often means we incur significant expenses for veterinary treatment, behavioral rehabilitation, and boarding for dogs who take more time and care to adopt out. Forte also offers a structured Junior Volunteer program with hands-on experience, run by a certified high-school teacher. We are dedicated to inspiring compassion and educating the youth about the animal protection. Many children are learning the importance of spay/neuter and proper care of the animals while volunteering with us, and some are so inspired that they have decided to become veterinarians. Donations or any support is always greatly appreciated. Donations can be made online (www.FARescue.org) or via regular mail at PO Box 10085, Marina del Rey, CA 90295. We are also looking for foster homes for our rescued dogs, along with volunteers to help our adoption events.

I’ve been couch-surfing for the past three years and just can’t take it anymore! I currently live with a small dog and a cat, and thrives in their company. I’m great on a leash, love romping on the beach, will come when you call me, and am always ready for an adventure. I’ll hop into your car as soon as you open the door. My ideal setting would be a place with outdoor access (I don’t like being locked up since I was neglected in a crate in my early youth) and a human who is around most of the time. A canine friend would be great, too. I will fall hard and fast for you because all I want is someone to love and a stable home.

A very nice lady found my mom and my siblings and I on the street and brought me home to her house! I might be a big girl but I am sweet and gentle like a baby lamb. I LOVE people and I especially love to go for rides in the car or for a walk with a leash (so I don’t get lost again). I would love a family to love and cuddle, and that would be my best wish.

So… mine is a common story: Somehow I got separated from my family and was found by a good Samaritan, who brought me to Forte who tried everything to find my family, but no one stepped up. Now, they're helping me to find a new family and I'm doing my part by being sweet and playful. I love kids and other dogs (especially boys!), and I love my bed. I'm full of energy and love walks on the leash. I'm looking forward to meeting you to fall in love with me and adopt me!

I’m the perfect Husky for those who don’t want a husky-Husky. I’m small (40 lbs) and slender––and pretty calm! The folks at Forte saved me from the pound after my previous “owner” who failed to be my guardian dumped me on his way out of town. I was a bit scared when my siblings and I showed up to our new foster mom’s house, but as we got comfortable, we really warmed up to our new mom and big canine foster brother and two feline foster brothers 🐈. My foster mom tells me every day how sweet and smart I am! She tells me that I am the cutest little guy in the room and gives me kisses and snuggles which I love. I am enjoying my time here at my foster mom’s house, chewing on my bones, and sitting out in the sun! Hi everyone, its Andy from Forte Animal Rescue and we're literally bursting at the seams with some great dogs. We've got so many new dogs that we've had to completely cut off taking in more. And right now I have several dogs who need fosters. Below is Missy (brown boxer mix - video in first comment) who is really sweet, but can be pretty active. She's housetrained as long as you have a yard and loves plenty of exercise. Her regular foster is injured and she's being bounced around some temporary fosters. Also we have Aurora (the husky) who was dumped at the pound by her owner on his way out of town. We met her and did these photos, and she's very sweet and not big - about 35lbs and 11mo. Please let us know if you can help by fostering either one asap. (We want to get Aurora out of the pound before the 4th of July, not safe for any dog there).
Also, our next regular adoption event is this Saturday, June 29, at our usual location, Centinela Feed, 3860 S. Centinela Ave, LA 90066, from 12:30-3:30. (We won't be there for the Independence Day weekend). Come see us, we have several new dogs, also shown here. FARescue.org/dogs Please Share!
