Wondering what to do with all of the holiday empties that are starting to pile up with the festive season? Never fear - the solution is here! Our next bottle drive is on Sunday, January 5th so be sure to mark it on your calendars and tell all your friends because it'll be here before we know it! Penny Lane here certainly has her 'come hither to our bottle drive' look down! And with all of your empties you will be helping cats like her find their forever homes.

We will be in the Glanford location's parking lot (located at 4261 Glanford Ave) from 10 am - 2:30 pm that day. All you have to do is drop them off, and we will take care of the rest - including the sorting!

**Please note that we NOW TAKE take milk or milk substitute containers (including almond, oat, soy). However, we still do not take Ensure containers, soup/broth tetra packs, or creamer/whipped cream containers. These unfortunately do not issue a refund and go in your recycling blue box at home.**

Theo is certainly a cat who knows how great it is to live a curious and eventful fun-filled life, and he wants all of the other cats to get the same life he has. 'Twas the night before Theo's Match ends, when all through the house not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse. Which is actually pretty surprising because there are so many cats around here! And with your donation doubled you can double the help for these cats this holiday season. But Theo's Match ends tomorrow, so don't delay!

**ADOPTED**

We can hardly believe that this distinguished gentleman has no applications! He has been looking for a home since the beginning of November, and although he feels very loved in his foster home his Christmas wish is to find a forever home to call his own!

Meet Bobby, a fun loving, cuddly and curious 9 month old neutered boy. He started out very timid but is becoming quite the social kitty! He loves to play with children and is desperately trying to win over the cat in his foster home as all he wants to do is play! Bobby has times in the day where he is energetic and is up for anything, but he also likes to chill and cuddle.

Bobby would do great in a house with children and/or other pets, but he is also very adaptable and so will thrive in any home ready to give him lots of love. He has brought so much joy into his foster home and is definitely ready for his furever home.

Looking to clear out some old linens to make some room for the new this holiday season? We would love to take them off your hands, as we have a number of situations we use them in with the cats!

We can really use the following:
Tea towels
Hand towels
Facecloths and dishcloths
Pillow cases
Flannel sheets

We have drop off points at our Second Chances Thrift Store in Sidney, the Broadmead Vet Clinic, or send us a message for a drop off point in the Westshore!

The Grand Opening of the most exclusive sushi spot has arrived – and Jeff was able to be there before he went to his forever home! 🍣🐾

“The meow-nagement team has already stopped by for inspections, and they're happy to report:
✅ Structural integrity approved (aka: they sat on it, and it didn’t collapse).
✅ Signage approved (they stared at it for 10 minutes—interpret that how you will).
✅ Menu approved (ok, they tried to bite the corner if the menu, so we're taking it as a compliment).”

Foster parent Erica & family really knocked it out of the park with this construction project! What lucky foster kitties!

Hiya, I’m Zoey, the sweetest, bravest, cuddliest, most playful, curious, friendly, energetic, and goofiest kitten you’ll ever meet! I am 3.5 months old! You see, I ended up here in Victoria after I mistook the amazon delivery truck for a giant, mobile Christmas tree. I hopped on board, causing a hilarious commotion when I popped out of a Christmas stocking, covered in someone’s future Christmas lights…oops! The driver, was just like Santa and brought me to my magical foster home where I’ve been dubbed the ‘Perfect Christmas Elf’ because of my playful antics and boundless energy.

Meet Penny Lane - a seven month old spayed kitten! This sweet, playful girl is a total bundle of joy, with a love for belly rubs and endless energy for playtime. We are so thankful to have such a passionate and committed group of followers that have come forward to open their door and hearts to some of our animals over the holidays. Thanks to your kindness, every animal in our care has found a warm and loving holiday retreat.

WOW – we had a fundraiser filled first week of December, and you really showed the cats some holiday spirit! Our Christmas Online Auction raised $3,472 (before fees) – what a great way to end the year. A huge shout out to all of the generous donors who helped that happen.

We completed the week with our last bottle drive of 2024! We sorted through $2,580 worth of your empties and the sun shone bright! Thank you to all the elves who brought us hot chocolate, donuts, Tim bits, chocolates, muffins and the most adorable and delicious cookies (whoever made these can you please message us!?)

It is always so good to interact with our supporters and see the new faces. And then of course none of this could happen without the very dedicated and efficient volunteers who show up no matter the weather - we appreciate each and every one of you. Our fundraising coordinator Michelle works so hard throughout the year making these drives & auctions a success so three cheers to her as well!

We look forward to seeing you all in 2025! The first bottle drive of the year will be on Sunday, January 5th and we can’t wait to take all of those celebratory empties. May you all have a safe and healthy holiday season. 🎄

**ADOPTED**

This beautiful chocolate Siamese is Tofu. He’s an approximately 4 year old male who would probably prefer a quieter place without kids or dogs. We don’t know how he would be with another cat. He is usually quiet except if he’s hungry or spooked. He likes to hide when the vacuum cleaner comes out but otherwise likes to follow his person around to see what they’re up to. He’ll play for brief periods but otherwise enjoys sitting on the window sill and seeing what’s happening outdoors.

Tofu has been very curious in foster care. He will come to see you and come for cuddles and then decide to run off and play or explore. He especially likes to come cuddle in bed at night and will seek warmth. He is a very friendly and wonderful boy.
