Although inquiries are welcome, TLC is a closed rattery. Most of the pups born here, stay here, for our records and for evaluation as they grow. Most retired breeders stay as well, and all health changes are thoroughly documented. Any rats that leave the rattery go to close friends, family, or previously approved adopters that will keep us up to date on the health and temperament of the rat throug
hout it's lifespan, and anything that may occur. We focus on temperament, health, and longevity, only produce simple and safe rat varieties, heavily consisting of berkshires, variegated, capped, and occasionally recessive blazes. All rats produced are handled from day one, are socialized with other animals, and desensitized to noises. Never are more than four or five litters produced throughout a year. We hope, by changing the opinion of rats that society has developed one person at a time, that one day, rats will be as common a household pet as a dog, or as a cat. Such loyal, intelligent, and loving creatures deserve only the best, and as much love and attention as Fido gets. Never do we hesitate to educate people of all ages about rats.
