Nothing beats the softness of a NEW vetbed from Vet bedding at oakswarren . Artemis had to do a quality test within seconds (!!) of me putting it down. Of course, it's one with Highland Coos. :D

We have had quite a bit of snow, and Saturday was an amazing sunny winter day.
The two sisters (same mum) got a lovely walk in the forest with some off-lead play. It was significantly warmer than earlier, so Beanie didn't need a coat during the walk.

Nachruf Kirsten Büscher

Am 19. Dezember 2024 hat uns Kirsten Büscher unerwartet und viel zu früh verlassen.
Mit unermüdlichem Engagement und großem Herz hat Kirsten die Tamaskan-Rasse in Deutschland geprägt wie niemand sonst. Gemeinsam mit ihrem Mann Karsten brachte sie einen der ersten Tamaskane „Summer“ nach Deutschland und meisterte mit Hingabe die zahlreichen Auflagen, um den ersten Wurf unter dem Kennelnamen „vom Münsterland“ zu ermöglichen.
Kirsten war eine Pionierin und Visionärin. Sie hat die Tamaskan-Rasse nicht nur in Deutschland bekannt gemacht, sondern mit viel Einsatz Aufklärungsarbeit betrieben und Tamaskan-Besitzern mit Rat und Tat zur Seite gestanden. Das Münsterland wurde durch ihre Leidenschaft zur Hochburg der deutschen Tamaskan-Szene – ein Treffpunkt und Lebensmittelpunkt für Besitzer und Interessierte gleichermaßen.
Die Gründung des Tamaskan Club Deutschland, aus dem später der Tamaskan Germany e.V. hervorging, war ein weiterer Meilenstein ihres Engagements. Internationale Treffen und ein intensiver Austausch zeugten von ihrer Verbundenheit zur Tamaskan-Gemeinschaft.
Kirsten Büscher war die „Mutter des deutschen Tamaskans“. Ohne ihren Einsatz, ihre Hingabe und ihr Herzblut wäre die Entwicklung dieser Rasse in Deutschland nicht das, was sie heute ist. Vielen Tamaskan-Nachkommen und ihren Familien hat sie wundervolle Momente und Freude geschenkt.
Unser tiefes Mitgefühl gilt ihrem Mann Karsten, ihrer Familie und allen, die ihr nahestanden. Für die Beerdigung wünschen wir allen Angehörigen und Freunden viel Kraft in dieser schweren Zeit.
In dankbarer Erinnerung an eine außergewöhnliche Frau, die unsere Welt mit ihrem Engagement bereichert hat.

Cold morning here in Scotland. Well, not so cold if you ask me (🇸🇪) but for the UK, -7 is considered cold. 🥶

Beanie lost all her undercoat and together with not being used to cold weather we decided a coat would be a good idea. These dogs normally don't need coats to stay warm, unless they have had surgery or in this case - lost all insulating undercoat and you get a drop in the temperature like this.

A friend in Sweden gave the coat to me so sadly I can't say where you would get one.
