Good evening, so I have been keeping an eye all day on the weather Forcast and I have made the decision to cancel all walks on Friday, there is a danger to life warning in our area via the met office and it looks to be extremely bad on friday, anyone who has already sent payment for Friday I will get in touch and either return payment or move it to next week. There is nothing more important to me than the safety of your dogs and I do not make this decision lightly 🖤🐾

Please everyone get prepared and stay safe 🙏 get stocked up on candles, batteries torches and food you do not need electricity for, it's all very dramatic but it's looking to be necessary 🖤🐾

I don't know about you guys but i am soooo ready for winter to be done and these storms to be over! I'm keeping an eye on the wind Forcast for Friday thanks to StormÉowyn expected to bring some seriously strong winds! As always the dogs and my safety comes before everything.

As you can see from the met office Forcast below the gusts are due to hit 80mph by lunch time. If this is the case I won't be taking the dogs out but for anyone on shifts I will message you and arrange to take your furry babies out for the toilet into the garden or close by the house as safely as possible!

Here's hoping StormÉowyn blows in some spring time sun after the weekend and everyone please be safe 🙏

Tonights post is a bit of a different one so please give me 5 minutes out of your day to read 🩷

This year i wanted to actively make the world a little better and after lots of soul searching and talking with my friends I have decided exactly how to do this 🩷

I am raising money this year for the absolutely incredible organization that is womans aid! I know from personal experience just how incredible these woman are! The work and support they put into the countless woman and families that need this service is.. well there aren't enough good words to describe it! I am absolutely blessed to have had a team of these woman help me on my journey to surviving domestic abuse, from being part of a 10 week programme to help me come to terms with and understand what actually happened to me surrounded with an amazing group of survivors some of whom are now lifelong friends. To having my own worker I could call any time if I had a bad night of PTSD nightmares or a bad night of insomnia because my brain just could not believe I was now safe to calls just to tell her my kid had a great report at school or I had a great day. It didn't matter why I needed her she was there! And this support i am not ashamed to admit saved my life and helped me on the road to be the woman I am today 🩷

There is a whole community of amazing strong and incredible woman out there and on the Frontline of that is womans aid! Unfortunately there resources aren't as limitless as there personal support is and there are so many families in need every single day and i want to be part of helping that, I want us all to be part of helping that 🩷 so together let's do it 🩷

On the 17th of May Myself, Aiden, Sophie and of course Teddy will be taking on Tinto Hill 💪 we will reach the top!

Some facts ...

Where the victim’s gender was known, the clear majority of victims (83%) were female. Over four-in-five incidents (81%) of domestic abuse had a female victim and a male suspected perpetrator.

1 in 4 woman will suffer domestic abuse at the hands of there partner

The police recorded approximately 1.4 million domestic abuse-related incidents and crimes in the year ending March 2024.

It needs to stop 😪

Domestic abuse is a huge issue in our society still, victims are bullied and made to feel ashamed but please please believe me YOU HAVE DONE NOTHING WRONG AND YOU CAN ESCAPE

What is with this cold! It's after christmas it's basically spring! where is the sunshine 🤣🤣🤣 these morning temperatures are pretty extreme so I will be in touch if I am changing your dogs walk times or length of walk!

Reminder

🐾 To avoid any walks over stones or gravel
🐾 Apply Vaseline to your dogs paws to protect there pads before and after walks
🐾 Wash your dogs paws after each walk to make sure there is no small stones or grit stuck
🐾 Small dogs should not be out in temperatures under -2
🐾 Shorter walks may be required for you dog, you can get further advice online or from your vet
🐾 Be safe, Have fun
