Every great rescue needs a staring point - We are a team of passionate and dedicated individuals who realise how important it is to help animals in need. We have all dedicated so much time to helping rescues and we feel we are ready to take on this next step of the journey. We decided we are going to start our very own animal rescue called Cross Country Pet Rescue (foster based to start with). We are in the very early stages of creating a rescue for animals and we know this is going to take some time! We are currently working through all our policy documents, contracts, charity status etc and of course we are including full rescue back up. We really do want to send a big thank you to anyone who likes our page, helps foster, donates or purchases gifts on our Amazon wish list! About me (one of the team) - As you know we are in the very early processes of starting up a pet rescue with a group of volunteers. So we decided to do a little post to show you some of the volunteers individually. Remember every rescue needs a starting point. If you ever have any questions please do get in touch with us.

Zoe - Me and my family have always been passionate about rescue animals. All our animals are rescues from this country and also abroad. One of my life goals was to create my very own rescue and this is where I am today. I like to set myself goals and I always work towards them and I know things take time as you need everything in place. One of my other goals was creating my own business which isn’t actually animal related and now this business is very successful and runs well with an amazing team It’s given me more free time to focus on my next mission Cross Country Pet Rescue. I’m so glad that I have come together with an amazing bunch of people who are as passionate about rescue as I am. Sadly not everyone agrees with the motto adopt don’t shop and it’s left rescues so over run so we are hoping that we can help so many rescue animals find their forever home and to help ease some pressure on other rescue centres. So a little bit more information about me - I love taking my doggies on long walks around the country parks. I’m such a Disney fanatic and if I’m on holiday I’m often at Disney World! I love fostering for other charities and my own doggies love to make a new friends with them. My dogs are currently around 11 years old and are from Spain as my auntie helps with a rescue out there and when we went on holiday there to help at the kennels we fell in love with them.

Ghost came to use at 15kg skinny. Throwing up over night.
He fighting for food other dogs.
Wasn't toilet trained

He is the most plasid dog.
Loves cuddles.
He teething at the minute.
He long foster with me.

Ghost still couldn't keep food down had diarrhoea and had no energy. Sleeping all the time. So had to take him vets.

They gave him anti sickness medication for a week. Also put him on sensitive fish diet.
With some milk. Also prokolin.

Day 1 with antisickness he took it well and had food. That night he wasn't sick. Sickness stopped. So meds worked. Now on trying to get his weight up.

He doing slow well day 2 doing so well he eating regularly every 3 hours slow eating bowl due him eating so fast. But he loves his food with some milk. Also help digesting.

After 3 to 4 days swapped slow eating bowl for normal as his eating slowed right down. Still he hasn't been sick is a good sign.

It's took him about week and a half to come out of his shell and the tiredness to get less less as now eating regularly.
Another week to show his puppy playness.

On day 6 he finally toilet trained and knew what the garden was as was afraid at first to go out.

He now weighs 20.4kg.

He loves his walks and running around in garden with my buddy and the kids.
