Lemon has one ear up and one down. It does not make a noticeable difference. Neither have had infections. Other variables cause ear issues. If you still want to crop their ears, I recommend using a reputable vet to do any procedure on your dog to avoid ruining your dog’s quality of life.

I haven’t read into this much to comment. Obviously I’m against bsl. It’s a waste of money and doesn’t reduce dog bites. Whichever dog is the most present will have the most dog bites, and pit bulls are the trendy dog to have. Simple math goes over a lot of people’s heads when they are reactionary.

These two sweet girls are 6 months old and amazing!
They were in a high kill shelter in TX w no chance of making it out alive. Highway Hounds partnered with us to get them out of there.
They love dogs and people.
They will be arriving in CO on 5/10 and need a foster home!

I used to do rescue so I know what you’re talking about but one thing to remember is the conditions humans go through in this country and lack of social safety nets they have. Be kind to people and ruthless to systems.

When we started this rescue, our mission was to help the abused, neglected and discarded dogs in our city and beyond.

Our mission has never been to relieve you of you of the commitment YOU made to your dog when you took them in.

People have babies and keep their dogs.

People change careers and keep their dogs.

Peoples schedules get hectic and they keep their dogs.

People move and find a way to keep their dog.

People run into issues with manageable/trainable behavior AND THEY KEEP THEIR DOGS.

These situations are not unique.

We didn't start this rescue to bail you out. I'm sorry, I know that may sound harsh-- and yes, we know that there are absolutely situations in which people can truly no longer care for their dog- and we help with those as much as we can.

But for the love of Dog-- step up for your dog. Show up for your dog. Show your dog the same love and commitment today that you showed them the day you brought them home.

Dogs are being euthanized here, in shelters every single day because the shelter does not have space. FRIENDLY. HEALTHY. HAPPY. ADOPTABLE. DOGS.

Your dog is no different than any of the dogs that have been losing their lives every day and if you give up on your dog-- they could be next.

This dog caught my eye the other day. I can spot an angel pupper a mile away. I can’t foster, but I will offer on-call training, foster support, and home-check help to a rescue willing to take her in. I will contribute to her vaccines/spay as well. I made a vet appointment to get Lemon’s small lump checked out. She had another abscess rupture as well.
