Team Inch is a group of people who have come together to rescue sighthounds primarily in S. Korea. Once we have them, we meet their immediate needs for veterinary care and a safe place to stay, then work with our partners to transport them to N. America, where we work together to find them foster and adoptive homes. In February 2014, we formally joined forces with The Sighthound Underground (SHUG)
, a group with such similar goals it seemed a perfect match. Team Inch is now essentially the Korean rescue arm of the SHUG family, adding their network and resources to our boots-on-the-ground team and our devotion to save as many S. Korean sighthounds as we can. We are also fortunate to work with the following groups:

Greyhound Pets, Inc. What's with the name, "Team Inch"? Inch is a greyhound we brought to N. America in December, 2013, with the help of people spread across the world, and adoption groups in the U.S. and Canada. At that time, several of us had worked together in various ways to rescue many dogs. We decided to take the name "Team Inch" to continue our work together. Our philosophy is; one at a time, meeting the individual challenges as they come, Inch by Inch.

Team Inchers, we have very sad news today 😭 Our sweet old girl, RUBY, passed from this world yesterday, in the loving care of her hospice foster and our Team Inch volunteers 💔 We all wanted RUBY’s time with us to be longer, but we are happy she received the love and care she deserved in the end. After a lifetime of misery in a puppy mill, RUBY left this world knowing and having experienced how deeply she was loved since her rescue. Thank you to all the Team Inchers (in South Korea, North America, and all around the world) who helped provide much needed medical care and things to make RUBY’s last days comfortable and special!! In the too short time she was with us, she captured many hearts 💕 Please join us in lighting a candle tonight for RUBY, to help guide her way 🕯️ Rest well RUBY and we hope you find the peace this world never gave you ❤️🩷
Rounding out the perfect cup of coffee to go with SUGAR and COFFEE, we’d like you to meet CREAM!! He is approximately 8 years old and is an iggy. COFFEE and CREAM appear to be siblings as they came in together and are very bonded. CREAM has just been neutered and had a dental. Just like COFFEE, his teeth were in terrible condition, but he is all fixed up now!! How sweet are COFFEE and CREAM together?! Heart melting!! 🫠 ❤️🥰🐾☕️
Well, you’ve met SUGAR, now this is COFFEE!! ☕️ She is an 8-ish year old Italian greyhound who recently came into our care. She was recently spayed with our vets and had a much needed dental, unfortunately losing 23 of her teeth 🦷 But she is recovering well and receiving lots of loving care!! 🩷 Welcome COFFEE!! ☕️ Now, we have COFFEE and SUGAR, what are we missing for the perfect cup of coffee?! This is SUGAR!! She is a 4-5 year old whippet or whippet mix who recently came to us with a very bad giardia infection and a broken hip ☹️ Her hip doesn’t need surgery, but will take time to continue to heal. She is receiving round the clock medical care with our vets to address both the giardia and to manage her pain while she recovers from the broken hip. Poor sweetie!! With some much needed medical care, some TLC, and medication for pain control, SUGAR will be back on her paws soon!! Team Inchers, we have sad news 😢 We were contacted to take this young iggy into our care, as he had parvo and wouldn’t make it much longer. Unfortunately, before he could be transferred to us, parvo took his life 😭 As you know, we name all of our dogs, even the ones who don’t make it to us. So, this is Aslan ❤️ May his precious soul rest in peace ❤️ Aslan, you deserved better than this world gave you 💔

May 5, 2024 - This little guy came to us a few months ago from South Korea via Team Inch. He hasn't quite been ready to leave the kennel since then, so his adopters have been patiently waiting. They and their other girl Hygge (formerly Lily) who is also a Team Inch dog from South Korea have been visiting him at the kennel every week in the meantime. Well today was the big day so little Hooper, now known as Indigo, has left us and officially joined his new family! - Mike Forrest
Little iggy, GINGER (in the pink), has settled into her foster home and loves her iggy foster sister!! Medical testing showed GINGER has been suffering from chronic pancreatitis prior to rescue, likely for a long time. She is receiving treatment now, and will need to be on a prescription diet and a medication for likely the rest of her life. We can’t imagine how sick this poor girl has been (likely this contributed to her extremely low body weight from constant diarrhea), but are sure glad she’s in our care now and is getting the medical care she desperately needs!! Life is looking up for little sweetie, GINGER!! 🥰❤️🩷🤦♀️
We have someone new to introduce!! Meet AMBER, a 3-ish year old greyhound (or greyhound mix)!! AMBER came to us with pneumonia, but she is receiving medical care and should be back on her feet (paws?) very soon!! Welcome AMBER!! The good life is just beginning!! 🥰❤️🩷🐾
Team Inchers, we want to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who donated towards RUBY’s care!! As you can see, she is all set in her temporary foster (with another iggy foster sibling) and later this week, she will go to her Hospice Foster. After the life she has lived, we can only imagine how amazing it must feel to have a comfortable bed, inside the warmth (not outside at a puppy mill), with a full tummy, and lots of love and care!! Thank you Team Inchers for making RUBY so comfortable!! And we know RUBY says THANK YOU too!! 🥰❤️🩷🐾
RUBY update!! 💕 After sending her tumor away for further testing, it was determined she has mammary carcinoma, which unfortunately, is malignant. RUBY appears to be about 15 years old and as we told you previously, was a puppy mill dog used for breeding her entire life. There is no long term treatment for RUBY’s cancer that is appropriate given her age and other health factors. She will not be able to safely leave South Korea, as she likely won’t survive the flight. So today, RUBY moved to a foster home and next week, she will move to her Forever Foster, or Hospice Foster, where she will remain for the rest of her days (vet estimates a maximum of a year). Team Inch will continue to care for RUBY for the remainder of her life and we will do everything possible to ensure the rest of her time here is nothing short of magical! ❤️
RUBY would love some special treats, maybe a toy or two, and an extra comfy bed to enjoy for the remainder of her days. We have a new girl to introduce today!! Meet GINGER, a 3-ish year old Italian greyhound. As you can see, she is extremely emaciated and came to us with pancreatitis. She is now receiving round the clock medical care to treat her pancreatitis and help her safely gain weight. Welcome GINGER and stay tuned for more updates as she begins her recovery!!

Are you ready?! We have a RUBY update and Team Inchers, it’s good news!! Testing showed RUBY’s tumor was filled with puss and was benign, so she had surgery to remove the tumor. To double check, her tumor has been sent for additional testing. She also had a very extensive dental and unfortunately, all of the remaining teeth she had needed to be removed, so RUBY is now a toothless wonder!! We think RUBY feels so much better having the tumor removed, her mouth fixed up, and to finally be receiving the TLC this gal deserves!! Photos below are of RUBY in recovery!! 📣📢 Team Inchers, we’d like to introduce someone very special, with a very, very unfortunate past 😢 This is RUBY! On March 14, a puppy mill was raided and the dogs were removed by authorities, but only 10 days later, when authorities returned, the owner had 10 more dogs again. These dogs were also seized. One of these dogs is a senior Italian greyhound who has spent her entire life being used as a breeding dog, without adequate (or any) medical care and likely very little positive human contact. RUBY entered into our care with a massive mammary tumor (can be seen in photos below), teeth in horrific condition, and her hair/skin is not in good shape. BUT, she is with us now and receiving much needed medical care. She will receive a sonogram to determine if the tumor is malignant/benign, and if surgical removal is an option. She will also need an extensive dental for her teeth. With some time, lots of TLC, and continued positive interactions with humans, we think RUBY will make a wonderful addition to a family that will love her for the rest of her years! ❤️ But, we really need your support to help get there! DARCY (DMF Dog #3) was so fearful at rescue, we could not touch her, not even to put a collar on. This is 2.5 months of progress (with thanks to our volunteers) and now, DARCY will come out to play on her and accepts human contact (she wears a collar now)!! DARCY will need a family that understands how traumatic her past has been and has the patience to work with her slowly, building on her progress. BETH (DMF Dog #1) is recovering well from her surgery to remove several mammary tumors and be spayed (no more babies for BETH)!! 💕 She is now allowed to go for short walks outside the vet clinic with our volunteers!! ANDY (DMF Dog #4) was the recipient of a very special donation from a group of rescue friends in South Korea (who often look out for the Team Inch dogs), and he was neutered and had a very much needed dental!! This was also possible because of the kindness and generosity of the vet clinic that did his procedures (see comments for photo)!! A huge THANK YOU goes out to ANDY’s benefactors and all the people, around the world, who have come together to help The Team Inch 9 Dog Meat Farm Dogs!! This week, we were contacted by another rescue group that was helping remove dogs from a dog meat farm in the countryside, when they found whippets, greyhounds and whippet/greyhound mixes also living there, waiting for their death sentence ☹️ Team Inch has been stretched pretty thin recently, but when we were contacted about these dogs in desperate need, we couldn’t say no. So today, we’ve welcomed 9 dogs into Team Inch care.
