Our Introduction to Fast CAT Camp is designed for people that have never participated in the sport or are looking for a good refresher.

The classes are two hours long, starting off with a thirty minute class at the beginning. The class covers the rules of the sport as well as the procedures used during the events. For all the Florida peeps be safe! And for all the states above in the path of Debby our prayers are with y'all as well.

Good morning folks. Here's an early morning update on Debby for you. It is a hurricane, category 1 with 80 mph winds. In general, everyone in the area needs to be aware of the isolated tornado threats, gusty winds and potential for some power outages throughout Monday... so have things charging. Here's my thoughts more specifically county by county:

Duval: Main impacts will be felt all day today, 6-8 inches of rain over the course of 36 hours, tornado threat will last most of Monday too.

St. Johns, Putnam, Flagler: 5-7 inches of rain, isolated tornado threat, so listen out for the warnings. Threats for these counties ends a little earlier. Monday evening things taper off. Some gusty winds.

Clay: 5-7 inches of rain, be aware of the low lying areas and places that typically flood ((Black Creek, other river tributaries)) .

Nassau, Camden: 8-12 inches of rain... watch the high tides around 10:50pm Monday. Impacts linger a little longer here, into Tuesday morning.

Ware, Pierce, Charlton County: 8-12 inches of rain, some full ditches and flash flooding will be possible Monday. Watch for the isolated tornado risk and listen out for our warnings when we come on the air.

Baker, Union, Bradford: main thing will be to listen out for the tornado warnings through the day. Rain similar to the rest of the inland counties, gusty winds. By Tuesday the conditions start to improve.

Columbia: Lake City and surrounding areas will get some strong tropical storm force winds and hurricane force gusts through Monday. 8-10 inches of rain possible and isolated tornadoes.

GLYNN: I think coastal Glynn may be in for the worst of it considering the potential slow down of the storm near Savannah. The back side could continue to dump rain for several days. Up and over a foot of rain is absolutely possible. Watch the high tide monday night around 10:50 for highest flooding and potential storm surge. The good news is surge will no longer be an issue once the storm has moved north because winds shift will help flush out the marshes. BUT... the rain will still be coming.
