MAD Rescue 2025 calendar is out. They have a page dedicated to the sweet puppy dog souls who left us this year. 😇

Malinois And Dutch Shepard Rescue saved him from a pound in Mississippi as a puppy. His striking black mask initially fooled rescuers into thinking he was a Malinois mix. Breed discrimination often leads to euthanasia of Mals ( and Akitas )so this rescue saved his life. As he grew, his true Akita spirit became evident. We are incredibly grateful to the rescue for pulling him, fostering him, and ultimately connecting him with us.

RIP Ryū AKA: Dragon Boy ❤️ and all his MAD brothers and sisters. 🐾 🌈

Halo is headed to his first trefederian procedure on Thursday and we need help transporting him! The treatment requires him to be hospitalized overnight.⚕️

Thursday 12/12 - Pick up time 630am
From Flowery Branch to Alpharetta, GA

Friday 12/13 - Pick up time TBD in AM
From Alpharetta to Flowery Branch, GA

Rosie 🌹 is home everybody! Thanks for your help! She’s reunited with her family and with a little road trip under her belt! She volunteered in Asheville with me this weekend! She’s a good little road warrior! If she had identification on her, I would have been able to reunite her sooner. Luckily everything lined up and I found her owner. Please put identification on your pets, microchip with name and phone number or even easier: a tag and collar. Many dogs without identification never get returned home.

I found this little (female) munchkin running in the ditches on Aarron Sosebee Road near Gregory Estates subdivision. I took her to the closest vet to see if she was chipped and she is not.

Anybody recognize this little pumpkin? 🐾

You can mix these foods into your dog’s normal food or make a homemade dog treat. Avoid seasonings, bones, and excess fat. Be aware of seasonings: Dogs can’t have onions, garlic, or scallions. 🐾Keep your dog away from the table: Some people prefer to keep their dog away from the table while others eat. 🐾Be careful with holiday decorations: Use the APCC toxic plants list to identify potentially dangerous plants. 🐾Empty the trash: Empty the trash throughout the day so your dog doesn’t get into bones, chocolate, or other holiday hazards. 🐾Update your dog’s ID tags: Make sure your dog’s identification tags and microchip information are up to date. 🐾Prepare for emergencies: Keep your vet’s contact information and the location of a 24-hour emergency vet clinic on hand.
