A little glimpse into the fabulous foster life of Biff!
He has been staying with amazing Vancouver Animal Services alumni !
They are the best of friends and he is thriving in foster care.
Biff is now ready to find a home of his own thanks to the wonderful care and support he has received 💞

Biff aka Squish (cause, well; he is so squish-able) is one of several dogs abandoned in Vancouver recently. Biff was found tied to a pole with a bowl of water and nothing more 😔

Squishy Biff is a big ham who adores attention, affection and everyone he meets!

Scooby Doo is back at the shelter as his foster to adopt home did not work out due to an unexpected and urgent family emergency. 😔

Scooby was in a wonderful foster home before he went in to his trial adoptive home.
His original foster folks took in another foster while Scooby was in his hopeful home. Or they'd have taken him back to foster!

They put this together to help spread the word about how wonderful he is!

Kazuki, or Zuki! 😘

When Kazuki first came to the shelter she was a pretty wild child! She’d not had any structure or training. She had a hard time keeping her paws on the floor, sitting or sitting still.
Zuki has been working hard to learn her basics! She’s eager to please!
She likes toys, treats and praise!
She is such a happy girl and will thrive in a home that continues to help her master her new skills!

Kazuki is a young and energetic Akita mix. She is a brave, playful, and smart pup who is very friendly and funny.

She’s an affectionate dog who loves to be around people and gets along with other dogs, too. Kazuki has now been tested with cats and she did VERY well!!

Kazuki is an athletic dog who would make a great companion for long walks, runs, and hikes. She would be the perfect addition to an active household.

If you’re looking for a loyal and loving furry friend, come meet Kazuki! City of Vancouver Animal Services’ Foster-to-Adopt program is a great way to welcome Kazuki into your home.

As a foster, you can enjoy the benefits of having a new furry friend while also taking the time to see if she is the right fit for your family. Marty McFly loves everyone! Especially those with treats or anything considered a toy!🤗Lovely handsome young Marty McFly found himself in our shelter after he was found tied to a bench outside. This dog was very scared when he was first brought in but has really blossomed into a lovely dog. Marty loves to play with other dogs and absolutely adores the attention he is receiving from our staff and volunteers. He is exceptionally smart and obedient. He learns fast and comes every time he is called and sits in front waiting for his treat. He is highly treat motivated and would benefit from a home who wants to teach him new things. We feel he would fair best in an adult only home but could be ok with teenagers as he is nervous about body handling. He can get overstimulated and mouthy when he is scared. He is fantastic with the other dogs and shows absolutely no reactive or aggressive behavior. Marty needs help with housetraining. He walks well on leash and enjoys going on his walks. **Meet Rufus: A Sweet Senior Looking for a Loving Home**

Rufus is a gentle and affectionate senior dog who finds himself in need of a fresh start after his previous owner never came back for him. This sweet old guy deserves a warm, quiet home where he can spend his golden years surrounded by love and comfort.

While Rufus may have a few health challenges, including needing dental care due to his limited number of teeth and a severe heart murmur that requires monitoring and possibly medication, he still has so much love to give. Rufus may need a bit of extra care, but in return, he’ll offer his endless loyalty, companionship, and a heart full of gratitude.

He would thrive in a peaceful environment, where he can enjoy the simple pleasures of life, like lounging on a soft bed and receiving gentle pets from his human companions. Rufus is hoping for a family or rescue that will see beyond his health issues and offer him the loving, secure home he so deserves.

If you have room in your heart and home for a senior dog with a lot of love left to give, please consider giving Rufus a second chance at happiness. He may be older, but he still has plenty of love to offer. Let’s help Rufus live out his days in a place filled with care, warmth, and joy.

Straight Outta Rescue Society took Tulee in from the shelter almost a month ago. After more than 7 months in the shelter with no interest at all.

Tulee has shown everyone she meets how joyous, friendy, sweet and loving she is!
She has been absolutely thriving in a foster home!

Ellie is now back at the shelter after spending a week with a wonderful volunteer.
To say Ellie enjoyed her week would be an understatement.
Pretty sure Ellie had the time of her life. So far!
What an absolute joy she is!💛

Ellie struggles with life in a shelter.
She needs a permanent home full of all the things she had last week! Some of those things pictured here🐾❤️🐾

Ellie was found in a park tied to a tree. She is well mannered, knows all her basics, is gentle and loving.
She has been waiting more than 7 months at the shelter for someone to fall for her as much as staff and volunteers have.
Whoever adopts her is going to have the best friend she is meant to be 💕

Ellie’s rainy Monday eve mood💤🌧️🐾

Ellie has been at the shelter for more than 7 months after being found tied to a tree in a Vancouver park...

Ellie has been lavishing in the love and comfort of a wonderful temporary foster home. 💕

In a day, if an alternate foster or adopter is not found, she will be back at the shelter.
Ellie and her foster have enjoyed their time together so much!
We and Ellie are so thankful for the time Ellie had out of the shelter! 🐾

This week in foster has brought so much of Ellie’s character and personality to light! And she is a ray of light! 💛
