Welcome to our new page!
For those of you who we might be meeting for the first time, welcome!! Please take a moment to read below and learn about Jessica Brown, the heart & soul of Chase Run Stables and why we are here β€οΈ
Jessica worked with horses for nearly 20 years, managing barns, and riding all over the country, from Texas to Tennessee, before she decided to come back to her roots in Virginia, settling in beautiful Western Loudoun where she opened a trail riding, lesson, and boarding business on her own farm: Chase Run Stables.
Naming the farm after her beloved Sheltie, Chase, Jess had a dream. For over a decade, Chase Run has been the place of some of the happiest memories to so many people, which is exactly what Jess loved to do: Make people happy through the love of horses. Jessica loved and cherished ALL life. She saw the good in everyone and everything, and protected her loved ones, 2 legged and 4, all the same and with everything she had. The world lost an incredibly strong, compassionate, loving, empathetic, intelligent, hilarious, goofy, nerdy, talented human on September 8, 2022.
The article below was published by The Washington Post in August of 2011. For those of you who didnβt get a chance to meet Jessica, this article paints a perfect picture of her ability to bring ease, calm, and joy to those around her, including her beloved horses. Whether she was in the ring teaching a lesson or on the trail exploring the great outdoors on horseback, Jessica had a passion for sharing her knowledge and love of horses; even just a trail ride βcrash courseβ became a valuable lesson in building confidence and fostering a sense of safety and fun among riders and their horses. Her teaching approach went beyond technique; it was rooted in a deep respect for the bond between horse and rider, a bond built on trust, communication, and mutual understanding. These are values we hold onto and strive to continue in her honor, every day.
Please join us in helping to continue Jessicaβs dream!
