This handsome lad is looking for a new home to call his own....
Jasper is 4 years old and has moved into one of our fabulous foster homes up in the Wrexham area, North Wales. Jasper has transitioned beautifully into the home environment - he soon found his favourite spot on the sofa and has recently taken to sun puddling in the garden. This boy loves chilling and will quite happily fit into most households. His foster mum feels that he would benefit from having a canine companion in the home since he enjoys being in their company. Jasper walks nicely on a lead and travels well. Jasper really will make somebody a wonderful companion 💕

At just 14 weeks old, handsome boy SULLY finds himself looking for a new home to call his own 💚
If you think you can help this lad by providing short term foster care or you're seriously considering adopting a young lurcher pup, we'd love to hear from you.
Sully is not yet vaccinated and so will need to be the only dog in the home. Sully is still in his current home and the time scale that we've been given to help in finding him a new family doesn't allow for us to get his full course of vaccinations done. Sully will need somebody around most of the time. He will be inquisitive, playful and will need lots of your attention being the age that he is. If you have the time and patience to help us help Sully, please email [email protected] to express an interest.

"I am running the London Marathon, an ambition I’ve had for many years since first watching this iconic race on the TV as a child. I am raising money in support of GRWs work with greyhounds and lurchers for several reasons, I adore sighthounds and we currently have a greyhound and a lurcher who enrich our lives every single day (even if they don’t leave us much space on the sofa!). I also would love to see the time come when greyhound racing no longer exists and all of these wonderful dogs have their forever homes!
I became familiar with GRW a few years ago and having looked at your website many a time, my wife and I decided it was the right time to find a friend for our then aged whippet, Jet. To cut a long story short we were matched with Guy, a handsome grey with a cool, calm temperament who soon became best of friends to us and Jet. I was very impressed with our experience at GRW and would love to help a little more by raising some last minute funds for the charity this weekend. I may not run as fast as greyhound but by the end of the 26.2 miles I’m sure I’ll enjoy the comfort of the sofa just as much as they do!"
This gorgeous girl is called Purdy, 2/3 years old. Such a sweet and kind girl, loves people, good with other dogs, pulls a bit on the lead. Good to travel, always willing to please.
She was the result of relationship breakdown, then her owner had a nervous breakdown. She was living with another dog. She has sensitive skin.
She would fit into any loving family. Can anyone offer a foster home or forever home for lovely Purdie?
Boo is about 4/5 years. Full of character! Stubborn, strong and reactive. However, he is full of affection, kind and just loves to be with you. Will love to stay in the car for hours and wonderful when travelling. Loves men particularly, but good and friendly with everyone. He is a Staffie X, with a curly tail.
This lovely boy is Smog, a collie cross, about 4/5 years. He is recovering from cruciate ligament damage in both hind legs. He also has a big fatty lump on his side. The vets may operate for this, I am just waiting to hear.
Smog will never be able to go on very long walks, and may be better in foster care, because of his ongoing vet bills. He is a sweet boy, but reactive with other dogs.

He desperately needs a forever home as his current owner has been debilitated by poor health. He’s accustomed to other dogs but hasn’t met children yet. He currently lives in an outside kennel.

Today we had a visit from Efa, who is having a fantastic life. She hasn't been taught recall before so we went to the beach when she could run in any direction she wanted safely. But she stayed with us 🐕💖

Izzy is 5 years old and has come to us due to her elderly owner having to go into care. She is so clever and loving. So far we know she knows basic commands , sit, lie down and recall. She's good off the lead. She travels well in the car. She seems to have strong natural herding instincts , and she settled into a pack after initial nervousness. Izzy will need a collie savvy home. She had puppies 3 or more months ago, and will need to be spayed. She has a lot of love and energy to give. Please share to find her forever home ❤️🐕
Little Bilbo, jack Russell,has an unknown history but came extremely poorly with Mange. We guess he is 8 to 10 years old. He is not used to affection. He has a cheeky character!. .. He will need teeth doing and a foster home could help him enormously. The rescue can pay the vets bills.

She is the sweetest girl, very kind, desperate to be loved and to please.
She has had the worst and cruelest life imaginable. She is totally deaf, but it doesn't bother her, she is very obedient with hand signals. She is about 9/10 years old, she is now better with other dogs, but she used to be reactive, she loves walking, doesn't pull, a real joy to walk with, loves the car.
The big downside will be that she will need vet care, and constant monitoring as she has had a horrible head injury, and probably gets headaches. When her head is hot, the vet told me to give her half a paracetamol, which I do, and her ears need constant monitoring and recurring treatment. With this in mind the rescue is happy for her to go to a forever foster home so that we can pay the bills...
She is a happy soul, and wags her whole bottom, as she has no tail.
She is a wonderful companion and would deeply appreciate comfort and care, she would love a sofa!

Buddy and Zephy, a nine-year-old lurcher boy and a twelve-year-old terrier girl, are best of friends and must stay together. They came into our care following a bereavement in their family. They're looking for a quiet home with kind and calm carer(s) who will help them feel safe and loved. Comfortable places to nap and a secure garden to potter in are their priorities. They could live with dog-friendly children aged 16+.
Zephy is okay with most dogs, but Buddy is less confident. They're looking to be the only dogs in the home and can't live with cats. They remain on the lead on walks and walk beautifully, enjoying short walks before heading home for a good snooze 💤. They are very good in the car.

Foster homes urgently needed for a Staffy good with children and other dogs and 2 German Shepherds, any ideas ?
Greyhound Rescue Wales have been amazing, with support, vet bills and finding homes for the 6 greyhounds that were left in Bolton when their owner died. Then Twirl appeared. A very traumatised frightened little girl. Three weeks later, after spaying, lumps removed and a traumatic accident she is with her new family who have been amazing looking after her while she heals.

Diva now Millie has her forever home!**
is 4 years old, neutered, and loves children. She came from a home with 6 children, who were heartbroken at her coming to me. Mum and dad broke up, mum said she had to work, and couldn't cope with 6 children, work and Diva. She is good with other dogs. She has had no training, and pulls on the lead, very food orientated, but not aggressive with food in any way. She is sweet and affectionate, and will be boisterous to begin with. She just needs time and kind lessons. A truly lovely little girl.

Meet Sam 8 years old, from the same place as the other 5. He is a lovely natured boy and house trained.
Sam is very friendly and calm. No aggression when a dog tried to mount him and was great with small dogs too.
He has good recall and enjoys a run when it's safe to do so, but his adrenaline levels currently shoot up when racing. This may settle down. He's only been here 2 days! And he's loved by all of us, already!
He loves getting in the car and travels well.
He needs a dental and neutering and Greyhound Rescue Wales have come to the rescue again!
He's having a check up on Friday at Blakemere Veterinary Centre.
He will be rehomed through Greyhound Rescue Wales.
He is currently located in Wrexham, North Wales, but happy to travel anywhere!
