This beautiful pup is Coconut, a 10 year old Mini-Aussie and long haired Chihuahua mix.

She is potty trained, does well on walks, and gets very attached to her person. She’s a great snuggly lap dog.

She would do best as an only dog, in a home without small children, so she doesn’t have to compete for your attention.

Dante Gio, on the right, has found his furever home. This lucky guy has a big backyard to play in along with a fur-cousin, Vito, (LWDR Alumni), that will come over for playdates often. Michael, Taylor and Berwyn adopted Trix and Marvin today. Trix and Marvin are so lucky to be able to join their new fur brother!! Trix was already making himself at home and playing with the toys!! Thank you for choosing to adopt both of these special boys. Happy trails Trix and Marvin!! 🐾💕🐾

Buddy is back in the senior Sunday spotlight. This cutie has been fostered in the Omaha area since he was surrendered from a local shelter. Buddy needs a home with a fenced yard and another dog to play with. He’s a great cuddler, is potty trained, and he deserves a furever home.

Buddy does have Addison’s Disease, which is now well managed with medication and monthly shot. His medication is $200, but that supply lasts several months. As long as he continues his medication regimen, he will live a long and happy life.

We don’t know why Brooks is still with us. This handsome 4 year old Shih Tzu is a big boy with a big personality. He’d do best in a home with a fenced yard and with another dog to play with. He might not be the best dog for a home with small children due to his size.

Once he’s comfortable with you, he will request pets from you. He’s a love, and would make a great addition to almost any family.

You can meet Brooks at today’s meet and greet at the Oakview PetSmart from 11-1pm.

Chai, our 12-year-old Chihuahua is thankful for hamburger and rice - her favorite food!

We would like to bring you an update on Miss Zinnia, our sweet 5 year old female Yorkie. Zinnia is fostered in the Omaha metro area. She is a bit shy around new people however she is becoming more comfortable each day. She gets along with all of the other dogs in her foster home and will require a fenced yard in her forever home. LWDR adopter Heather shares what she and her two little guys are thankful for this year. ❤️

Meet Olaf and Spike, our adorable Maltese duo who were adopted in September 2021!

Olaf is between 4-5 years old, while Spike is between 3-4.

As we reflect on what we’re thankful for this season, I can’t help but express my gratitude for my wonderful friends, family, and of course, my furry companions.

Olaf and Spike also have their own list of things to be thankful for, including all the tasty treats, cheese, and comfy dog beds they enjoy!

They absolutely love cheese and whipped cream, and their excitement is contagious when it’s time to put on their harnesses for outdoor adventures. Whether they’re barking at grass, shadows, or passersby, these two always find joy in the little things! 🐾❤️

Meet Pua, our adorable 6-month-old Maltipoo puppy! This handsome little guy is looking for his forever home and is fostered in the Omaha metro area. Pua is a bit shy with new people but enjoys playing with other dogs and loves to hoard all the dog toys. He sleeps quietly in an X-pen at night and would do best in a patient, loving home, ideally with a resident dog to help boost his confidence. A fenced yard is required.
