5 blue babies born last night!! 🎉 Thanks to Katelyn Willey for letting us pair Sunset’s Gus with Creekside’s Moon.

Haven’t posted in awhile. I’ve been growing out these three from Moon’s litter and decided to free up cage space. 1 blue buck and 2 black does 👀 4 🏡 and discounted!! DOB: 4/11/24

Update: Bingo had a false pregnancy. But she will hopefully have her first litter soon.
Bingo should be having babies in the next couple days🎉🎊. She’s getting her nest ready and we’ve been able to see the babies kicking in her tummy!

Smalls…

I had named him Basil but my kids keep calling him Smalls. I’m glad I’ve been overruled, Smalls is so fitting for this runt of his litter. Loving this 9 week old blue buck.

So so grateful to Honey Buns Rabbitry for letting us add Renew Farm’s Butter to our herd! Butter is such a beautiful petite cream buck. Planning to breed him to our blue tort doe, Bingo, soon!

Moon’s litter only had one boy, who was also the runt. He has needed the most support with extra feedings on mom, bottle feeding, and now transitioning to solids. His sisters all started transitioning last week but he wouldn’t eat hay/pellets. Bunnies that don’t transition to solids are called faders and won’t survive. He felt like he was withering away this week. But two days ago he finally started eating!! 🎉 We’ll be keeping this boy!

Most of the baby bunnies were laying in the water dish under their mom trying to nurse this morning 😂 but here are the few that weren’t all wet this morning.

Looks like 3 blacks, 3 blues and 2 broken blue’s from Moon’s litter. I love seeing all their eyes opening up!

Thanks to Lulu at Hoppity Loppity Rabbitry we just had this first litter last week from Creekside’s Moon (broken smoke pearl doe) and GC Handrich’s Dirk (black tort buck). Lulu bred her bunnies and sold the doe to us pregnant. She has also been so helpful with advice and checking in on Moon! Thanks also to Lindsay at Fluffle Farm for the resource she’s been to me, even though it hasn’t worked out for me to buy a bunny from her yet.
