Welcome to the world little baby Otis 🩵

To say we have an update is a bit of an understatement 😅 I didn’t have time to shut the shop before little Otis came along so I do apologise for the delay with current open orders.

Outstanding orders will be fulfilled with the help of a baby sling, my fabulous husband and mum, but the shop is now closed until we find our feet 👣

If you would however prefer a refund for an order you’ve placed please drop me a message and I will get that sorted ASAP for you.

When I return, it may be that I place an order limit for a little while, but I’ll update you on this closer to the time 😊

I had an incredible moment of inspiration this weekend while almost throwing away my usual leather cuttings. Instead of wasting them, I knew there had to be a better way to reduce material waste!

Introducing our latest initiative: reusing these leather cuttings for a purposeful cause! 🌱 From now on, all your adorable Kohsi packages will be wrapped in these leather off-cuts that are a byproduct of crafting your leather collars. Talk about a win-win! 🤩

It's a simple yet effective way to give these materials a second life, reducing unnecessary waste in the process 🌍

I honestly prefer this look to the string I used before! It really aligns with our brand and gives it a lovely rustic feel, what do you think?

Now… what can we do with all those tiny hole punched circles? 🤔😂

It's been a while since I introduced myself here! So, to all my new followers who are wondering who I am, let me to give you a glimpse into my world.

As a 30-year-old UX designer of all things medical, I am also the proud owner, designer and maker of Kohsi 🤎 Alongside me is my very helpful husband, Matt and very gorgeous rescue dog, Kallie, who also happens to be the official 'dog boss' of Kohsi. While her primary duties involve taking far too many naps naps and begging for belly rubs, she also rigorously tests our products very well! 😂

Kohsi began with a redundancy almost 7 years ago. Although it was devastating at the time, I channeled my energy into something positive. With a whiteboard, sticky notes and fueled by my love for animals, the idea of Kohsi was born. However, it remained a concept for another year until I decided to turn it into a reality. I dug up those old sticky notes, created prototypes, launched an Etsy page, and finally brought Kohsi to life.

Kohsi has come a long way since then, and when you see our tags, know that they have been meticulously crafted with love and care. Each one has been designed, cut, laser engraved, hand-dyed, hand-burnished, hand-buffed, and eyeleted before being thoughtfully packaged up. Our collars are also all handmade by myself and on occasion when we are super busy, my mum will even pop over to help out (she's a real good burnisher!).

Thank you for your continuous support, and I can't wait to share more of my products and designs with you. Stay tuned for the exciting things coming from Kohsi!

No name? no problem! 👉🏻 "I don't want to display my dog's name but I love your tags, what can you do?"

We have lots of options for you, but what are the two main reasons people choose not to have their pets' names on their tags?

1. Privacy concerns: Some pet owners may be concerned about their dog's name being easily visible to strangers.

2. Security reasons: In cases where pet theft is a concern, some owners may choose not to include their dog's name on the tags to prevent thieves from using the name to gain the dog's trust or manipulate them.

Whatever your reasons, we can always help by...

1. Leaving the name section blank

2. Utilising this space for information such as "I'm chipped" or another common request is "I'm loved" How cute?

3. Customising the design to make the main focus the graphic rather than the text

4. Maybe you want to add a joke name? My poor Kallie often gets referred to as crumpet bum (I literally don’t know where it came from 😂)

It feels like just yesterday that you came bounding into our life, bringing with you an abundance of love, laughter, and tail wags. Today, we celebrate the anniversary of the day you found your forever home and started our family 🏡❤️

It's been a busy week at Kohsi and my hands are definitely feeling the burnishing pain 😅😂 so worth it though!

I'm thrilled to say that the majority of open orders were fulfilled over the weekend. There are just 18 remaining, which I will complete tomorrow before my week off begins 🥳

Don't worry though, even though I'll be away for a week, my shop will still be open and accepting orders. I'll catch up on any outstanding orders as soon as I'm back, so feel free to keep shopping!

⚠️ Important ⚠️ Hey everyone, just wanted to give you a heads up regarding the recent cyber attack on Royal Mail.

This has affected a number of businesses and unfortunately, we are also feeling the impact massively! I am still accepting orders and fulfilling them, but they will remain here until international postage resumes.

Using an alternative shipping method isn’t really an option for us as it’s far too expensive for what is a relatively low cost item.

Hey everyone, my name is Shelby and I am the designer, maker and owner of Kohsi! 😃How did Kohsi begin? It started with a redundancy, a white board, a heap of sticky notes and a huge animal obsession!The idea of Kohsi began when I got made redundant 3 years ago. The aim was to keep myself busy, doing something I loved while I searched for a new job. Thankfully, I did manage to get another job a couple of weeks after my redundancy, but this resulted in the idea of Kohsi remaining just an idea for another year.2 years ago, I finally began turning the idea, into a reality. I just had this unexplained "feeling" about Kohsi, and I had to explore why. I dug out my old sticky notes, made some prototypes, set up an Etsy page, and finally Kohsi was born!

So how on Earth did I start creating pet accessories!? I just can't get enough of those squishy little paws! To help tame my broodiness and not adopt every animal under the sun, I decided to create products for them instead! Win win.

Why the name Kohsi? Kohsi is pronounced cosy, and I was inspired by the little book of Hygge to achieve a warm and approachable brand name that symbolised a home environment. Also, who doesn’t love a good cosy snuggle with their four legged friend?
