The happiest of birthdays to the best Spokesdog a rescue shelter could have!! Our Jack is officially FIVE years old today!!!

I know that most everyone knows the story of Jack but for those who are new to our Dogdom let me tell you about this sweet boy who is not only our Spokesdog but my heart!! In January 2017 we took in a Mom & Dad, their 9 month old daughter and son and a 6 week old daughter. The Mom Eliza, Dad Sarge and oldest daughter Ellie Mae were heartworm positive 😢. We started them on Doxycycline and a month later they got their first injections. A few weeks after that injection we realized that Ellie Mae was pregnant😳. On March 14 she had Jack and Jill and they were sooooo tiny. Unfortunately the next day Jill died despite the heroics of Dr Missy and staff at Ark. At the same time they diagnosed Mama Ellie Mae with a raging case of mastitis😩. Jack was unable to nurse because of it so Ellie Mae and Jack came to live with me so that Ellie Mae could hopefully recover and I could bottle feed Jack… actually dropper feed him!! It was my first experience at this but with the guidance of Angelique from Ark Jack and I began our journey! Four weeks later he graduated to a bottle and at his six weeks checkup Dr Rollie declared him happy and healthy and Ellie Mae healthy enough to resume her heartworm treatment!! Because of the tremendously strong bond that the two of us developed it was also the day that it was decided that Jack would become our Spokesdog and remain with us forever!! Him and I launched his page on his six week birthday announcing his official name….Jack the Famous Furbaby and his title of Spokesdog!! He was tiny but promised he was ready for such a “big” job and he was right!! Jack and his bow ties have attended every event since and has been a great addition to our team and family!! He has been my shadow, my sidekick but most of all “my boy” since Day 1. He is a bit spoiled and a bit of a Mama’s boy but I wouldn’t have it any other way!!

Hi everyone!! It’s been a very loooooong and stressful four weeks around here to say the least!! My Mama and Daddy have been working hard at both the shop and our house since Hurricane Ida came for her unwelcome visit!! I’m have a great time staying with Granny and Paapaa because I get to play with my cousin Peanut all day!! I promise to try my best to post more often!! It’s just hard to do right now because I’m not with my Mama!! Love y’all💙💙💙💙💙
