My Best Friend We are a PE based volunteer group who walk and home shelter dogs in and around Port Elizabeth. Adoption will change your life and save theirs.

Being volunteers at various animal shelters in PE for many years, we know many of the dogs and cats and we are able to see their personalities, their likes & dislikes - which is ideal when helping families adopt their 'perfect' addition to the family. Our aim is to make the public aware of the importance of ADOPTING from shelters. We take shelter dogs on outing for events to meet & greet' the publ

ic in hopes of finding them homes and also for an.outing away from the shelter. In addition to this, we walk the shelter dogs every week-end...so if you're keen, come along and join us! Let us help you, help them.

Good morning, please spread this educational message far and wide...pet overpopulation is real! 💔
Sterilisation has many health benefits for your pets.

Mully recently came to our practice for a spay procedure… being a senior lady 💕of 11 years necessitated pre-op blood work.
A couple of fatty lumps and a small benign growth on a ni**le were also removed.
Spaying benefits a dog regardless of age :: it prevents Pyometra … a serious and life threatening infection of the uterus that can develop in female dogs that have not been spayed and is more common in middle-aged to older female dogs who have been through multiple heat cycles.
Unspayed females are also considered more at risk of developing Mammary Cancers …..
