Just a little update as to what's going on for me and the business.
Currently, I am halter training 2 highland x calves that we got from a saleyard last week. Still yet to name them, but a good name is needed once you know their personality 💕
The Cattle Artificial Insemination course is booked in for the end of June. So exciting times currently and to look forward to!

Exciting things are still yet to come!

What better way to kick start "Mad March" by having gained my certification in Dog Psychology, Behaviour and Training!
Lots of new things learnt about positive reinforcement and new methods to apply for helping you, my wonderful customers 😁

Onto the next big thing of Cattle AI and Pregnancy testing (on livestock), this year is going to be full of learning, followed by some new services to start once everything is completed. Exciting things to happen here in 2024. 😍

To all my wonderful customers, clients and followers,

I am sad to announce that Perfect Pets Training will not be operating this year on Kangaroo Island.

Due to the lack of interest in available services, I have decided to take the time to fully focus on further updating my skills in dog behaviour as well as farm management services too.

Exciting times ahead, although be it a sad moment for now while services aren't being conducted on Kangaroo Island.

Thank you for all your love and support over the past 18 months. I look forward to kick starting everything again soon!

Puppies aged 12 weeks to 12 months are invited to come to puppy school (with their humans too of course!).
✅️Side note: All dogs who have been on the training premises have all been up to date with vaccinations. Meaning we are super safe for those still waiting to get their 3rd vaccination done! ✅️

Classes are held Sunday mornings at 9:00am in Parndana - commencing 26th November.
✨️Classes are held over a 4 week period, for 1 hour every Sunday.
Things your puppy will learn during the 4 weeks includes - but is not limited to; the basic commands (sit, lay down & recall with other classmates as distractions!), basic health & nutrition, toileting training, socialising safely with the other puppies in class, and so much more! 😊
The cost covers, the 1 hour each week, treats for you to use during the session, class notes from each session, a clicker, a doggy gift bag and certificate upon completion. ✨️

Due to some sad and unforeseen circumstances, Perfect Pets won't be holding a stall and agility showings at the Kingscote Show this year. 💔

However, I do have some awesome dogs products that are for sale!
I have waterproof collars, waterproof leads and 3 setting light-up sequence leads. I'll also be baking up puppy treats throughout the coming weeks - so keep your eye out for those! 😍

Agility sessions are now available to enrol in! 😁

🐾Group sessions are being held Tuesday and Sunday evenings at 6:15pm in Parndana, commencing Tuesday 7th Nov and Sunday 12th Nov.
Cost of the sessions is $40 per dog enrolled for a 45 minute class, where you will learn skills such as jumping over beams, through hoops, running through tunnels and weaving poles. Max capacity per class is 4 dogs.🐾

🐶Private sessions are available, subject to availability. Commencing from Monday 6th November.
Cost per private session is $60 per dog enrolled. Travel costs may apply if outside of the Parndana area. Classes are 45 minutes of a private 1 on 1, teaching you and your pup how to do the agility course without distractions of others.
This is designed for dogs that aren't fully comfortable in a social situation or haven't quite fully mastered voice commands yet.🐶

Looking at getting Dog agility training going again. 🐾

Who would be interested in joining for private/group sessions?
👍🏼 for groups and ❤️ for private. (Potential for travelling to Kingscote - at an added cost if all goes ahead)
Wanting to gauge how much interest there is to see if its worth going forward with this.

The age would be from 6 months upwards, to make sure all basic commands are down, as well as voice control and some recall.

Exciting things are happening here over the next 6 months! 😁

Here's a little insight into what's going on behind the scenes here at Perfect Pets Training:
- I am undertaking studies in dog psychology, behaviour & training (this means a lot more services such as work dog training, further obedience training, assistance dog training and more will become available)
- We have been invited to have an agility show and stall during the Kingscote Show (& hopefully Parndana Show too!)
- Dog training products are in the works 🐾

It's all happening and is very exciting! Can't wait to share more info with you as time goes on.

Today is international dog day.
Dogs are not just another animal or pet, they're family, one of us. I know I would certainly be lost without all of my gorgeous pups, past and present ones.

Private training sessions are available next week on Wednesday 23/8 1pm till 4pm and Thursday 24/8 10am until 4pm.
Cost of the sessions are $50 for 45 minutes, covering travel expenses to Kingscote (from Parndana), treats used and any other resources.
Sessions can cover anything from: separation anxiety, walking on the lead, safe socialisation and more!

Lucky last pup, Ada, has graduated puppy school with yesterday's catch up session, after last week's torrential rain that made some roads turn into rivers! 🌧
Absolutely cute poser after she got used to wearing the graduation cap 💕

Puppy school will be starting back up again sometime in August.
Until then, keep those tails wagging 🐾😊

1 more is yet to do the final class due to flooded roads - she is sure to pass with flying colours though! 💕

I'll be taking a break from puppy school during July due to an injury as well as some time off to see my family 😊

Next round of classes will commence in August.

AGILITY TRAINING
Places will be limited to 4 dogs per class. Training will run over a 4 week period for 1 hour per class.
Classes will be held Saturdays at 8:45am in Parndana, commencing the 6th of May.
During the class there is a variety of obstacles for dogs to learn including, but not limited to - jumping, tunnels and weaving poles!
‼️Requirements to join Agility classes: ‼️
- Must be fully vaccinated/up to date with the C5.
- Have a body harness to wear at training.
- It is preferred your Dogs/puppy have attended puppy school, either with myself, the Vet clinic or anywhere else, as they must be able to safely socialise with others and be under voice control commands.
- If your dog has not done any training, 15 minute sessions will be available to see if your dog is eligible to join and can follow commands (an additional cost of $20)
💲Cost of the agility training course is $200 per dog enrolled.
This covers the use of some treats during the 4 week course, use of equipment and the trainers time.💲

As April is here, as is Easter and School holidays.

I will be taking a break this month, to have a bit more personal time with my family as everyone else will be too.

Don't worry though, the break's not permanent! Agility training and Puppy school will resume again in May.
