My phone made me this video of Cheese yesterday. I took it as a sign that I should pull the orange boy with the jaw injury from GCAC, I messaged them, but he was just pulled by another rescue. 🧡🧡🧡 I really wasn’t sure how we were going to cover the vet care for him, but I still miss my Cheese so much. 😿🐈🐾💔
Midnight visitors to the cat food dishes…ok, I miiiiight have sliced up some bananas for them and made them their own plates with grapes, vanilla wafers, and cheerios. 😬❤️🦝
Little Boy 😻
Little Boy is our only blind kitty. He was rescued as a tiny kitten from a hoarding situation in 2016. He is very sweet. He’s been exploring quite a bit lately, with his new challenge being walking the top of the baby gate to get petted. What a sweet boy. 🐾❤️

Bitty Byron Babies 🥹🐱🐾😻
*volume up for sweet kitten sounds*
The babies we found Saturday went to a new foster yesterday. So far, they are all doing ok. A couple of the babies are smaller so there is some concern for them. Send all the growing kitten good juju their way!! 🙏🏻✨

📢🚨‼️ Dear friends, family, and supporters of Heaven's Half Acre Rescue & Sanctuary ‼️🚨📢 With a heavy heart, I must share some challenging news with you all. Following our Halloween Pumpkin Palooza event last October, a "concerned" call to the authorities regarding our potbellied pigs and goats living in a residential area has led to unforeseen hurdles. Fenton Township, our cherished home since we began in 2016, unbeknownst to us, changed its zoning ordinances in 2018, excluding potbellied pigs from the “allowed” pet list and restricting the number of dogs and cats permitted. This change came about after the township lost a court case against an individual with pet chickens, prompting them to reevaluate their zoning regulations with an emergency vote. 🚨👨🏻⚖️ Despite our best efforts and numerous discussions, the township has remained steadfast in their decision, refusing to grandfather us in or allow us to apply for any special use/kennel permits, despite our flawless record since 2016. While I believe we have a solid legal case, fighting a government entity is never easy, and attorney’s fees would only take away from the animals who rely on us. This leaves us with no choice but to find a new home for our precious animals. This news has been incredibly disheartening, as this place holds very special significance for both the animals and myself. Many of our furry, feathered, and snouted friends have only ever known this place as their home, and the thought of uprooting them (and my human family) fills my heart with so much sadness. 😔💔 However, amidst the challenges and sadness, there is a glimmer of hope. I was able to sell my personal home for cash, and all funds are being redirected towards the purchase and restoration of a fire-damaged property nestled on 8.5 acres in the countryside of Byron, MI. While this new journey comes with its own set of hurdles, including the absence of a barn or even a livable home, I am choo
