spay & neuter, bringing awareness to animal cruelty, & raising money for basic medical needs for the animals we help. We are not a regular adoption organization rescue, we do not take in dogs to adopt out. We are more of a half-way home rescue, and pull dogs from local kill shelters to get them vetted and ready for their next step rescue where they will find an adoptive family. At times when we can we will help out owner surrenders to keep them out of the shelters as well. In the past we partnered with a southern kill shelter in a rural county area, but due to staff changes we are no longer able to help there. Some dogs would come in way more sick/injured then we could help, or they had some very serious behavior issues that couldn't be modified (or there’s no partner rescues who would be willing to step up to help). We would never take a chance with anyone’s safety (human or animal) and lie to get the dog out either, so we couldn't save everyone but we tried. We raised/collected pledges for partner rescues who pulled dogs through us, and donated the funds to the rescues once the dog leaves the shelter subtracting any fees we incurred. At times when we had a foster to take in a dog until a rescue was found we were happy since we could make more room at the shelter, since the shelter didn’t have an actual foster program. Sadly now that shelter's euthanasia rate will get higher since we are no longer able to help. Most of our partners wanted proper behavior assessments, which none of the staff at the shelter have the director of this organization's skill set or background in dog training. We were able to get out dogs that were seen by shelter staff to be aggressive or feral, since we knew what the actions truly that the dogs were showing usually due to fear. We are very honest, and transparent in everything we do. If you have any questions about ANYTHING please send us a message. 💔URGENT TO BE EUTHANIZED 😭 TESTED WELL WITH DOGS, CATS, and his favorite, PEOPLE, LOVEBUG CARSON IS OUT OF TIME. CAN YOU SHARE CARSON 🥺?? NEED ADOPTER OR RESCUE NOW!! To be EUTHANIZED due to space 😭💔

This super lovable baby boy is running out of time due to a massive flood of intakes at the shelter 😭 poor baby boy has the odds stacked against him in spite of him being such a happy and sweet boy. People don’t understand that APBT mixes are the most amazing dogs and don’t even give them a second chance. Carson would make an amazing, affectionate and loyal companion if just given the chance, but he’s almost out of time. 💖Carson: Approximately 2yr, 50lb, male, APBT mix. Did well on dog and cat test. Happy guy! Loves to be loved.

We are a non-profit so we collect the pledges, subtract the pull fee and donate what’s left to the rescue for whatever else they may need (further vetting, HW testing, HW treatment, transport, boarding, etc.). ‼️SWEET WATSON IS ALMOST OUT OF TIME ‼️ this baby boy is SUCH a sweetheart, he LOVES people, tested well with his dogs and cats at the shelter, and is overall just a total lovebug. BUT, he’s running out of time and is on the euthanasia list 😞. We need to find him an adopter or rescue ASAP!! Can you help!?

Sweet but terrified Carnie is 1yr old, female, shepherd mix, 35lb underweight. Poor baby girl wants love but is terrified 😞 can you help her ? Shes so scared she stays under her blanket in shelter all day 😞 in spite of this, she’s still a sweet girl.

All twelve still in need 😭

‼️URGENT: 12 DOGS INCLUDING 7 PUPPIES TO BE EUTHANIZED BY WEDNESDAY, IF NOT SOONER. PLEASE SHARE, ADOPT, PLEDGE, OR COMMIT TO LONG-TERM FOSTER WITH A RESCUE!‼️ INFO AND LOCATION BELOW!

♥️Benji: poor Benji keeps getting broken promises, with NO ONE showing up to save him despite “promises” to adopt or foster. This sweet guy is going to die as a result. Benji is only 1 yo, male, approx 46lbs, handsome gray coat. Was found alone in a building 😞. Cute white socks. Did well on dog test with submissive dog✅🐶.

🩷Carson: this lovebug wants nothing more than to find a family 😭. Approximately 2yr, 50lb, male, APBT mix. Did well on dog test ✅🐶. Happy guy who Loves to be loved. No one has shown ANY interest in him despite him being a volunteer favorite 💔.

💜Watson: another volunteer favorite was has had ZERO interest 😞. This sweet boy is 3yr, 50lb, male, APBT mix. Did well on dog test✅🐶. Wiggly butt boy 💕.

💙Pilot : this handsome hound is only 1yr, 50lb, male, plott hound mix. Did well with other dogs at shelter ✅🐶.

💕Allistare: Poor sweet Allistare was adopted as a puppy and then cruelly returned once he was no longer a tiny puppy 😞. But he’s still a petite cute boy at just 1.5yr, 40lb, male, mixed breed. He's a sweet boy, but can be startled. He has appeared to do well at the shelter with test dog ✅🐶.

🐶SEVEN PUPPIES: Brindle female, and black/white 2 are around 6ms (from same home), and other 4 are around 10ms now (from another home). They have been at shelters almost (if not past) 60 days. All sweet pups. Please help share to find someone to help them!

No one has shown up for this sweet guy yet 😭

**SWEET ALLISTARE ABANDONED BY OWNER AFTER NO LONGER A PUPPY - AND NOW AT RISK OF EUTHANASIA**
Poor sweet Allistare was adopted as a puppy and then cruelly returned once he was no longer a tiny puppy 😞. But he’s still a petite cute boy at just 1.5yr, 40lb, male, mixed breed. Do you all remember Shawn & Sherman? Well, Allistare is one of those brindle boys brothers. He's a sweet boy, but can be startled as he clearly didn't get good socialization (just like the others didn't). He had been adopted when at shelter with all the pups little over a year ago, but has been returned. He has appeared to do well at the shelter with test dog ✅🐶.

🎆KEEP YOUR PETS SAFE THIS 4TH OF JULY🎆!!

Do you know that more dogs are lost July 4th than any other day of the year 😢? Not only is this bad for your beloved pup (they can be lost, hit by cars, or worse), but it’s also terrible for dogs in need at the shelter, bc with high intakes of “strays” the following day shelters will often have to euthanize shelter dogs to make room to house lost dogs.

PLEASE. Remind your friends and family to keep their dogs SAFE, SECURE, with collars with TAGS 🏷️, and INSIDE this July 4th!

💚Carnie: Approximately 1yr old, female, shepherd mix, 35lb underweight, scared girl 😭

💕Nikki: Approximately 1yr old, 40lb, female, shepherd mix. Has some type of mange likely, since she has a lot of hair loss. Very sweet girl. Did well with other dogs on dog test. Came in with Tater, Pocket & Neena.

♥️Burney: Approximately 5yr old, male, shepherd mix. Owner surrender. Not doing well from the stress, depressed. Won’t go potty in his kennel so holds it for a very long time. Did well on dog test. Ignored the cat.

💙Wolfgang: Approximately 3yr old, 50lb (emaciated), male, GSD. Very nervous guy, & he’s unsure of other dogs right.

💛Bronze: Approximately 1yr old, 50lbs, male, shepherd mix. Did well on dog test at shelter.

💗Zion: Approximately 1yr old, 30lb emaciated, male, shepherd mix. Looks like his growth was stunted due to malnourishment. He’s a sweet boy, even though he’s scared he’s coming around. Did well with other dog.

Sweet scared little Zion has had a rough life , but somehow he is still a sweet and loving boy who tested well with other dogs and wants nothing more than to find A forever family of his own 🥺. The shelter is too scary of a place for a boy like this. Can you help him?? He’s only a baby at 1 yo, and very emaciated at only 30lbs. He will end up being a very handsome Shepard mix if someone will give him TLC, although it’s possible his growth will be stunted due to the malnourishment he has been under until now 😞. Can you help him??

Little about what our purpose is...

We are NOT the shelter. We are a non-profit organization dedicated to saving the lives of companion animals to decrease the euthanasia rate of high kill shelters by educating communities on spay & neuter, bringing awareness to animal cruelty, & raising money for basic medical needs for the animals at the shelter. The shelter is not connected to our organization, nor do they profit off of our organization. They have no say in how this organization is run, nor authority over the people that run it. We currently are only able to help Columbus County NC animal shelter since we are just starting, but we hope to grow in the future. We raise funds in order for the dogs to get spayed/neutered so they don’t go home and accidentally get pregnant, and the vaccines (except rabies) that are used at the shelter, among other things for the dogs. We are not a rescue, and we do not take in dogs to adopt out.

The shelter we help is a rural southern county kill shelter, and while we do our very best to help every dog who comes through the door, it’s still not a guarantee they will be saved. We are very happy to have such a great relationship with the new shelter Director, and we foresee nothing but good things for the future of these dogs at the shelter. We are so lucky to have the volunteers who help on this page & with the organization, and all the rescues who help save these wonderful dogs. We are also thrilled to have so many followers who help us to help all these souls remain Unforgotten by sharing, tagging, pledging. Only good things to come!
