What makes a Champion? One who works and trains hard but also sits and listens to advice and then takes that advice and it helps them to the winners circle.
Kyle has shoed horses for the Chaffin family for several years and so we have been there watching and being some of Reese and Baylee's biggest supporters from the beginning. This year before they went to the Junior High School National finals this last June, Kyle talked to Reese about her mental game and gave her a few tips and advice. Reese took that advice and her and Baylee rocked at the finals. They ended up 3rd overall in the poles in the nation plus several other awards. Just a past history lesson, Reese trained Baylee herself and they have won several championships in Little Britches plus they are the 2024 Louisiana Junior High Rodeo Pole Bending Champions. Laura (Reese's mom) sent me a clip from the Kinder courier and just read the circled part!!!

Today, we heard that Big John was laid to rest on his families farm. The Gore Family rescued him and gave him the absolute best life. He was quite a big guy and sweetheart. Here is a video we made of Kyle shoeing him and I'm sharing it as a tribute to this big beautiful boy. And if you dont realize how big he really was, watch the video and see Kyle's hand in comparison to his hoof.
