The power of horsemanship and trust. This is a college rodeo horse that today was Kyle's 2nd time as her farrier. This mare was not calm and sweet the previous visit but she's realized he's there to help her, not hurt her and it was a great experience for horse and farrier.

Don't forget even those pasture pets need routine hoofcare. We've seen so many cases where owners dont realize they just because that horse is just hanging out in the pasture doing nothing that their hooves still grow and still need to be maintained. Video is my personal pasture ornament that loves to drive me crazy with the stuff she gets into.

Quick question! Has your horse had an injury to the hairline and its still not quite right? Still in and out with lameness? These mares love getting their hooves done.

Today our son Kolt competed in his 1st demonstration at the State 4H Horse show. He brought a Hoof pick, brush and his horse Hollywood, thats it, and demonstrated how to clean his hooves. He won 2nd place. When he was done with his demonstration he was asked various questions by the judges. He told us a few of those questions which were, how often do you call a farrier, what can cause a Hoof abcess, when do you need to call the vet. He told us his answers and we are so proud of him for his answers for him paying attention and learning with not only his own horses but all those times helping Kyle with client horses. Congratulations Kolt we are so proud of you.
