These Cane Corsos are in need of a loving home due to a challenging situation. The lady caring for them is facing tough times with a divorce and terminal cancer, leaving her only able to provide the care that they need but not the attention that they would thrive in. All dogs are up to date with Rabies vaccines and have wonderful personalities. They require socialization and leash training, and are ranging from 2 to 6 years old.

The adoption fee has been waived to prioritize finding them suitable homes so the caregiver can focus on her family and health. All dogs will be sent home with spay/neuter contracts per the owner. Rex has been in foster care in Taylor, TX for a few weeks now, and his foster mom has listed the top 10 things she loves about him. From being housetrained to kennel trained, Rex is the perfect addition to any home. He loves to play with toys and even gets along great with other dogs once he is comfortable with them. Rex is very loyal and always excited to see you.

Sneak peak at a few new additions to Texas Sweeties Dog Rescue! These little ones were dumped at a local shelter covered in urine and f***s. We don't understand why someone would want to get rid of these babies, they are just too adorable. They are estimated to be around 3 months old and weigh 6 pounds. They are not ready for adoption yet, once they are available we will post an update.

Guess who is ready for adoption🥰

Rex is a sweet boy who recently joined Texas Sweeties Dog Rescue after being rescued from a shelter. Due to his fear, some workers thought he was aggressive, but he was just scared. A kind lady reached out to rescues to find him a safe place to decompress and thrive. Since then, he has been enjoying life in his foster home, snuggling with his foster mom and playing with the other dogs.

Rex is looking for a forever home with someone or a family who will love and spoil him. He is house-trained and kennel-trained, although he would much rather sleep in bed with you. He rarely barks and just wants to please his human.

Rex is currently being fostered in Taylor, TX, with numerous dogs of all sizes. He is scared of men due to past experiences, but with patience and slow movements, trust can be formed. For this reason, it's best that he doesn't go to a home with small children.

🚨 URGENT REQUEST 🚨

Yesterday, we had an emergency with one of our rescued puppies, Rex. He was rushed to critical care and diagnosed with Hemorrhagic Gastroenteritis. Thanks to the quick thinking of his foster, he is doing great and wagging his tail this morning. However, the hospital charges were unexpected and our funds are extremely low due to our inactivity lately.

In addition to this, we have a few more puppies entering the rescue this week that will need to be spayed along with shots. We are kindly asking for any help that you can offer, no matter how small. Your contribution will go a long way in ensuring that we can provide the necessary care for these puppies.

We couldn't save dogs without the help of our fans. Thank you for your continued support!!

Please give a big welcome to Rex! Rex joined Texas Sweeties Dog Rescue this past weekend after sitting in the shelter for a bit. While at the shelter this little guy would not let anyone get near him and would snap at them. After pulling him it was discovered that he is not an aggressive dog at all he is just scared. After having him checked out by our vet everyone has come to the conclusion that he was unfortunately probably abused. His foster is going to give him time to decompress at her house and learn to trust people again. He is only around 10 months old and weighs 12 pounds and we believe he is a Brussels Griffon mix. Once he starts gaining trust we will be putting him up for adoption to find a family that will continue working with his confidence.

Larz had his cherry eye repaired and he is now officially available for adoption!!

Please join us in welcoming Larz, a 6-month-old Cane Corso weighing in at 61 pounds, to our rescue. Despite his size, Larz is a sweet boy who gets along great with dogs of all sizes and is already crate-trained and doing great with housetraining!

We're looking for a home with experience in handling large breeds like Mastiffs to give Larz the guidance he needs to thrive. Larz's adoption includes his shots, microchip, and cherry eye repair. He'll also be adopted out with a neuter contract to ensure he's never used for breeding.

We are always looking for individuals to open their homes and foster a dog until their forever home is found. We pay for all medical and network like crazy for your furbabies. Texas Sweeties Dog Rescue is back! We took a hiatus for a bit to let everyone rest and we are back and ready to help many dogs in 2024!

To start off the new year we have a new addition to Texas Sweeties Dog Rescue. Larz is a 5 month old Cane Corso that will be looking for his forever home. He went in today to get his cherry eye fixed and up to date on shots. We would love to find this big guy a home with someone that has Mastiff experience. He is a baby doll but will be huge! He currently weighs 53 pounds.

If you would like to help with vet expenses for this big guy we would love the help. Between his cherry eye repair and shots his bill will be around $700.

Austin, TX - Meet Leo ❤️ Leo is a senior Yorkie who is approximately 13 years old and weighs 13 pounds.
Leo’s favorite activities include eating and snuggling. He is dog friendly and very happy to be included in a pack. He can be shy, so an environment that is really hectic could be harder for him to relax in. He’d do best with a calm environment and owners that are available for cuddling!
Leo was actually rescued from a puppy mill over a decade ago. He has lived a happy life since with a very loving owner, but has had to come back to our care recently unfortunately due to health issues with his owner.

Leo is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines and has had a good checkup. He does have some allergies that cause his eyes to be runny and is on eye drops currently to help (this may or may not be temporary or seasonal).

GiGi just entered Texas Sweeties Dog Rescue and will be available for adoption after her spay. Gigi is an 8-month-old Portuguese Water Dog that was recently surrendered to us. We have yet to find anything wrong with this sweet girl, she knows sit, is house and kennel trained and loves everyone. She does take a few minutes to get to know you but once she is comfortable, she is a big lap dog:)

Gigi would do best in a home with another medium to large dog. She loves to play chase with other dogs and also loves to fetch!

Gigi is currently being fostered in Taylor, TX in a home with other dogs and is having a blast. Once Gigi is available for adoption, we will post an update and get her listed on our website.

UPDATE - FOUND SAFE!!

4:45 Pm updates - no sightings since 2pm. She had spent many hours in the greenbelt off ganymede and adelphi, hopefully she’s resting in the shade. Please if you see her, call the number and watch her, don’t chase her. She has been spooked in the last few sightings.

1:28pm sighting in the parking lot of office building behind Thai cuisine. She spooked and went back into the greenbelt. But she is still in this area.

Posting for a friend who is out looking — Lost female husky mix named Bluey. She wandered off around 11:45 am. She is being dogsat so the number to call that can pick her up immediately is (320) 492-7788. She does have tags with a contact which is fine also but they are in a very different time zone

Woodlands, TX! Please keep an eye out for Izzie, her parents are desperately missing her😞

Izzie was picked up for training on April 11, 2022, by qualified dog trainer Zac Carman of Archangel K9. Trainer Zac Carman and owner Chris Minnick of Archangel K9 were highly recommended by several coworkers who used them to train their family dogs. They also work with local law enforcement K9 officers.

Izzie was supposed to stay with Zac for four weeks for a board and train to work on leash walking and how to not jump on people. Zac said he would post training updates on Snapchat and keep in touch by text messages. I messaged Zac each week to check on Izzie, and as week four ended, I asked about her progress. Zac said he had been sick and asked for more time to work with Izzie. He also recommended her for agility training. I asked him to send me more information about the agility training, and he did not. After an additional week, I asked how Izzie was doing and again about the agility program. He said Izzie was doing well and would email me the information, but he still did not.

After a communication breakdown, I told Zac I missed her and wanted to get her home. On May 24, 2022, Zac said he could drop her off that weekend. We made plans for him to drop Izzie off at home on Sunday, May 29.

On May 28, around 9 pm, Zac texted me to ask if he could call me. He called and told me that Izzie was stolen. Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office was on the scene when Zac called. I was given directions to meet MCSO at their office in The Woodlands to complete a statement and provide them with information about Izzie.

Zac states that he uses the parking lot and garage near Landry’s in The Woodlands (1212 Lake Robbins Dr) to do distraction training. Zac states he arrived around 7 pm with 4 dogs, three in the backseat of his truck in kennels and Izzie in a kennel in the bed of his truck. He watered the dogs and took one dog out to start training. The ONLY camera in this area caught him walking a dog around 7:22 pm in front of Woodforest Bank ATM. When he was on Lake Robbins near the parking garage entrance, Zac reports a white female in her 40s or 50s with short, blonde hair approached him and was upset about the dogs being left in his truck and that the e-collar was cruel. Zac identified himself as a dog trainer, thanked her for her input, and continued training. When he arrived back at his truck, Izzie was gone. Zac states the kennel in the bed of the truck where Izzie was held was open, the tailgate of the truck down, and he found the collars tossed in the brush behind the truck. He briefly looked for Izzie in the surrounding area and then called MCSO just before 8 pm to report her stolen.

May 28th was Buzz Fest at The Woodlands Pavilion. Thousands of people were in the area that night.

Early evening on Sunday, May 29, Zac and Chris met me at Landry’s to walk through the route Zac took. As mentioned, the only camera in this area was at Woodforest Bank ATM.

On Monday, May 30, Zac met with local news reporters for the stories broadcast on Fox26 and KPRC Channel 2.

I have learned that Izzie was staying with Zac at his residence in the Grangerland, Texas area.

The owner of the company is no longer responding to my messages. I have asked for information that I feel may help find Izzie, and it has not been provided. Chris Minnick states that he has sworn statements from people who say they saw Izzie the day of and the day before her disappearance, but I have not seen those statements.

I hope this post encourages someone to reach out to me with more information. Someone knows something. Maybe someone saw Izzie before May 28th. I need answers.

Austin, TX - Please give a big welcome to our newest addition Malibu!!

Malibu is a 2.5 year old, spayed female, blue and tan French Bulldog. Her former owner is going back to school full time as well as working full time and thought she should give Malibu a better home with someone who can give her more time and attention.

She is spunky and sassy, like your typical Frenchie, constantly playing with her foster sisters or dragging out all of the toys from the toy basket. She loves to play tug of war and chew up plush dog toys, she is highly food motivated and not too picky when it comes to treats. Malibu would thrive in a home with or without other animals. She gets along well with every dog she's met, big and small. She is crate-trained and enjoys long naps, especially in this summer heat. She gets pretty tired with just a 10 minute walk. so light walking or just backyard hangout sessions would suffice for her lifestyle. She gets along great with small children, but we haven't tested out cats. An ideal home for Malibu would be someone who enjoys being at home with their pups, limits outdoor adventures due to the heat, and has the time and energy to play with her on a daily basis. She will need some potty-training and training for basic commands.

Malibu is heartworm free, has no pre-existing conditions, and UTD on all shots and vaccines.

We are happy to announce that this little baby is back with his owner:).

Good Morning Everyone! We have a new addition to Texas Sweeties🥰 .This little guy is not available for adoption at this time as we would like to take some time and try to see if he has an owner missing him. He is estimated to be 5 to 6 months old and is an absolute babydoll. He was found in Lakeway, TX around 3:30 am over a week ago after he was almost hit by an officer in the middle of the road. If you believe you know the owner of Albert please send them our way with proof of ownership (vet records, drivers license and recent photos) e-mailed to [email protected].

Austin, TX - Meet sweet Blaze! - is a 7 year old male, small breed mix 🙂 The one identifiable breed in the mix that we think we see (and were communicated from prior home) is a boston terrier. He weighs 23 pounds and is a total lovebug!

Blaze gets along with dogs of all sizes and hasn’t yet met a dog that he doesn’t like. He has previously been fostered in a home with a cat as well and was fine. He does like to chase squirrels! Blaze also loves to play fetch and go for walks.

Blaze is crate trained and loves sleeping in his crate, house trained, knows basic commands and a really good boy. He LOVES tennis balls and will play fetch for as long as he can! He would however do best in a home with older children and adults.

Blaze is neutered, microchipped, and updated on vaccines.

Blaze may look familiar because he was adopted a while back but due to extenuating family circumstances, he is needing to find a new home.

Good Morning Everyone! As I am sure most of you have noticed Texas Sweeties took a break for 2021 in order to give all of our fosters a break during the pandemic. With the holidays coming up we are asking for foster homes around the Austin area so we can start pulling dogs again from shelters that need our help until they find their forever homes.

If you are thinking about fostering for a dog rescue Texas Sweeties could be the group for you! We pay for all medical expenses for the foster dogs. All we ask in return is for the foster home to give our dogs a friendly loving home environment until they find their forever home. We also ask that you have the ability to take dogs to their medical appointments if they are needed which we would of course pay for.
