At 3am yesterday morning I checked in at Larnaca airport with 5 lucky kitties heading to their new homes. 2 flights later and we were in Munich.

Feli was reunited with the family who fell in love with her during their holiday. We were blessed to be trusted with Feli while she was prepared for her flight.

Hector and Harvey were rescued by friends of ours and we were more than happy to help by escorting them to their new family.

Coco landed on all 4 paws when her new mom spotted her on our rehoming page and adopted her. She is already making friends with her fur bros and sisters

Oona is blessed to have flown to Sabine for foster and possible adoption.

At 2am this morning I landed back at Larnaca. 4 flights and lots of waiting around but so worth it to make a difference to the lives of these kitties xx

Remember Oona? When we told you her story we mentioned she had 4 kittens. The kittens have took up residence at our neighbour's house and are loved by their kids. Unfortunately they are not in a position to pay for 4 neuters (3 girls and 1 boy) so this week we took them to be neutered. They also received Nexguard spot ons against fleas and worms.

An anonymous donor made a donation that will cover the cost of the boy and a girl but if anyone would like to chip in to help we would be eternally grateful.

Incidentally Oona has been jet setting across Europe today!! Watch this space for updates x

The start of 2025 hasn't all been positive.

Arthur came to us four years ago. He was saved from the streets of Nicosia by Cats4Cooperation and we stepped in to take over. He has always had neurological damage to his paw but it didn't bother him too much. Arthur decided life was better at our neighbour's house and used his charms to earn a spot on their laps and in their bed at night!! He plodded through his life a very happy boy.

Over the new year Arthur was showing, what appeared to be flu like symptoms but instead of fighting it off with antibiotics he just got worse. We took him to the vets and an ultrasound showed our worst fear. He had a huge tumour that had completely taken over his liver.

At 2:10pm on Friday 10th January, with me by his side, we said our final goodbye.

Rest in Peace Arthur. Thank you for allowing us to love you xx

We are going to start our week with the story of Oona.
Oona was born in the kit room of Ethnikos Achnas FC football stadium. She and her sibling were hidden there by their mom. When Lambros Ioannou started his job he entered the kit room and heard the babies crying. He vowed to be their guardian and a love affair began!

As the kittens grew mama cat started to introduce them to the world outside of the stadium and gradually they settled in the garden of the family next door.

A chance meeting brought myself and Lambros together and he asked us to look out for the kittens when the football season ended. We agreed and went to see the family where the kittens now lived . Unfortunately Oona had just given birth to 4 kittens. She was still just a baby herself! Together we co-ordinated to neuter the whole kitty family and we advised on a lovely sleeping area.

Everything was going fine and the kitties were all very happy until one November evening when another neighbour came knocking at the door with a cat in her arms. She had been hit by a car and was unable to walk. I could see by her eyes that she was also in shock so we put her straight into a carrier and I headed to the vets.

Eleni met me at the clinic and we tentatively opened the carrier to see what state Oona was in. It was a great relief to see Oona was alive, in good spirits but clearly in pain.

I left her in Eleni's safe hands and went home. The following day Eleni confirmed that Oona had broken her leg and needed surgery. I messaged the neighbours and we discussed the situation and what was best for Oona's future. We all felt it was the best thing to let us re-home her. This meant we could oversee her healing process. Oona came under our care.

Not forgetting Oona's guardian angel we contacted Lambros and told him the whole story. He no longer works at Ethnikos Achna fc but he still pops there to see the cats on occasion. Both Lambros and his wife wanted to see Oona so they met me at her check up and had a beautiful catch up.

Throughout the process Sabine Brockerhoff followed the story closely, raised the funds for her surgery and even sponsored Oona - which included naming her. She also offered to foster her in Germany. We're delighted to announce that Oona will fly on Friday 31st to Munich. I will be escorting her myself.

At a recent visit to the vets I was asked to look at a male kitten, with the hope of being able to help him. He was taken to the clinic as an emergency call out. He was found with terrible cat flu and an eye infection and the tourists couldn't think of a solution so wondered if he needed to be PTS to avoid dying on the streets. Our vet immediately said no and assured them she could save the kitten. Save him and what?? The only option was to return him to the streets.......unless we could help. I am so overwhelmed at the moment but saying no wasn't an option. Not only did we believe our vet could make him better, we owed her a huge favour after she stabilised Chilli and got him on the road to recovery.

Meet Charlie (named by Sabine Brockerhoff in loving memory of a friend).

Charlie is approx 4 months old and will be available for adoption very soon.

Remember back in July when Tabitha turned up in the driveway ( hiding under the car) and had been shot? It took months for her to settle back amongst the cats and start to trust us again. Here's a photo from the week after she was shot and one from today x

We have been very anxious and stressed for a week now. Sparkle disappeared without a trace. We searched for him but there was no sign anywhere. This morning he walked in shouting and swearing. A quick check up at the vets gave him the all clear so it's a mystery to what happened. When we returned home we had received a parcel in the post from Carmen. Inside, amongst lots of goodies, was a beautiful bed. Sparkle is the first kitty to use it. Thank you so much Carmen!!

Earlier in the year we were contacted by the Vice Mayor of the municipality in which we look after a colony of cats. He explained that there had been complaints about them. I immediately jumped on the defensive but it was unnecessary. He wanted to find a solution that suited everybody. We needed a secluded place to move the cats to but still in the area so that relocation would be easy.

With the help of the colony caretaker, Sandra, we identified a suitable place. We then had to play the waiting game whilst the municipality held meetings and decided on the help they could give.

After what felt like, an eternity Sandra messaged us to tell us that beds and a food shelter had been erected!! We were so happy and grateful and the cats seemed to love the area. Then we had the first storm and it quickly became apparent that the shelters were not waterproof and the food needed to be raised off the floor.

Thanks to a donation that we were lucky enough to receive recently, we could upgrade the area.

Yesterday Gail and I set to work and added a roof to the shelters and a platform for the food. We added lockable wheels to this so Sandra can easily move it around. We are going to insulate the shelters and add lockable wheels for ease.

Thank you for your support which made this possible!
