Rehlein is learning to ignore distractions that are important to her on a walk (birds, iguanas, monkeys) and return to me when cued.
Recall training is done in a step by step way with slow addition of distractions to set her up for success. I think she is doing very well😀!
Tracking!
Tracking is a dog sport that uses a dog’s nose very much the way it was intended... to find stuff!
Mick and Drew are one of our intermediate teams. Mick is able to find and follow a scent trail to an item of clothing left behind by the track layer. This is the same way a search and rescue dog would follow a trail to find a missing person.
Here Mick is learning to turn a corner as the scent changes direction.
Tracking class is every Fri morning at 9am. Contact me for details!
