13 harsh truths about success nobody told you: (1) You will have to endure long seasons of loneliness; (2) Your anxiety will scale proportionally to your ambition; (3) To shine in the light you have to embrace boredom in the dark; (4) The climb is always better than the view from the summit; (5) You have to pay your rent daily; (6) Adaptability will always beat planning; (7) Your imposter syndrome and self-doubt never go away; (8) It will always take longer than you expect; (9) The good and the bad get amplified; (10) The money only solves money problems; (11) There's no such thing as later; (12) You never really figure it out; (13) You'll never feel successful unless you create your own definition of success.

The term RADAR was originally coined as an acronym that stood for “radio detection and ranging,” but like certain other acronyms it eventually came to be treated as an uncapitalized common noun.

The more you know!

A covered bridge is exactly what its name suggests: a bridge with a roof and enclosed sides, typically constructed from wood. The reason for the covering is quite simple. While there are some theories — most likely with some truth to them — that the roofs were added to keep animals calm above rushing water, or to provide shelter for travelers, the real purpose was much more practical. Wooden bridges, which were common in the U.S. and Europe in the 18th and 19th centuries due to the abundance of timber, deteriorated quickly when exposed to the elements. Rain, snow, and sunlight caused the wood to rot or warp, compromising the materials’ integrity and reducing the lifespan of the bridge. Covering the structure protected the wooden framework and deck. By keeping the timber dry, the bridge’s life could be extended by decades. Uncovered wooden bridges might last just 10 to 20 years, whereas some of America’s original covered bridges, such as the Hyde Hall Bridge in New York’s Glimmerglass State Park, remain intact almost 200 years after being built.

Today is , a reminder that knowing how to save a life—especially our furry friends—can make all the difference. While having to administer CPR to your pet can be terrifying, being prepared can help you act calmly and confidently in an emergency.

Stay Calm:
1️⃣ Breathe: Take a few deep breaths to steady yourself. Focus on the feeling of the air filling your lungs.
2️⃣ Delegate: If there are bystanders, assign them tasks like finding the nearest emergency vet.
3️⃣ Focus: Keep your mind clear. Concentrate on the steps ahead and stay in the moment.

When to Start CPR:
🐾 Your pet isn’t responding
🐾 Your pet isn’t breathing
🐾 You can’t feel a heartbeat or pulse

How to Perform CPR:
Compressions:
❤️ Position your pet on their side.
❤️ Deliver 120 compressions per minute (2 per second).
❤️ For every 30 compressions, give 2 breaths.

Breaths:
❤️ Close your pet’s mouth and seal it with your fingers.
❤️ Cover their nose and give 2 breaths—enough to make their chest rise.
❤️ Check for a heartbeat after 2 minutes. If there’s no pulse, continue.

When to Stop CPR:
🐾 Your pet starts breathing and responding
🐾 You reach the vet clinic and they take over
🐾 You can’t continue physically
🐾 Your pet starts breathing but is still unconscious

Recovery Position:
Place your pet’s head to the side, slightly tilting down (unless there’s head trauma).

Compression Techniques:
🐶 Medium to Large Dogs: Compress one third of the chest depth.
🐱 Small Dogs/Cats: Use your thumb and fingers for compression, or compress directly over the heart.

Stay prepared and know that you can make a difference in your pet's life! ❤️

Millions of Americans will see an increase of 2.5% in benefits this January when a new cost-of-living adjustment is added to Social Security payments.

Here are some 🔑 things to know:

-The raise is intended to help meet higher prices for food, fuel, and other goods and services.

-The average recipient will see an increase of about $50 per month.

-The Social Security Administration will begin notifying recipients about their new benefit amount by mail starting in early December. Adjusted payments will begin on December 31.

$375M-Social Security COLA increase

$174B-Ukraine

$16B-Iran

$20M-Hurricane Helene

Just a few numbers to look at. The social security increase will cost less than $400M. That equates to roughly $50 a month. The latest studies show Americans need more than $11,000 more income to keep up with living expenses. That $190B could've went a long ways towards those social security increases and made them better reflect the inflation caused by the current administration. But apparently it's more important to support foreign countries.

Looking over these facts, do you think you should continue recklessly paying taxes to the administration? Or do you think maybe you consider how to lower your tax burden? Do you think you should rely on social security to fund your retirement? Or maybe you should consider other options! Do you really want to working into your late 60's anyways? What if you could lower your tax liability while building a better retirement option at an earlier time frame? Would you take the time to listen to your options?
