Well, the day has finally arrived. The first clutch of 2025 landed yesterday. It certainly was a great surprise after a long work day, as I wasn't expecting her to lay for a few more days. All 6 eggs look healthy. Now the countdown begins...
Pairing was: Banana Leopard Pied het VPI Axantic to VPI Axantic 66% possible het Pied. We got 6 eggs from this pair last year, and no visual pieds, so I don't think she is here, but this year should confirm that suspicion. Still very excited for clutch #1, 2025!

Spring Break wildlife adventures! This was a first-time encounter for me. Forgive me for the baby talk, it just sort of happened. 🤣
We found several opposum babies in the yard last week. Apparently, they are living in the roots under the big tree the hurricane took down last year. I also found a large rat snake shed nearby, so hoping these cute babies don't become a snack.

I'm really not good about getting pictures, but Shamgar was a hit today. I have to be careful taking him out because too many people want to hold him, and it started blocking the isles and taking all of my attention. I love sharing him with people, but it got to be a bit much. Still I did take a couple of shots at the AARPE show today and thought I would share. He is such a sweet boy.

Finally caught a couple of ovulation recently. With the new job I've been busier than usual and may have missed some, but these are the first 2 I've caught so far this year. Hopefully many more to come!

The cold finally broke long enough for us to send out 7 babies to their new homes today. Now that I'm working in an office again, I had to hide them under my desk with the space heater until I could make it to FedEx on the way home. Had a little show and tell and am happy to report I didn't get fires. Haha. Travel safe little ones!

Don't think I'll take any of the snakes for walks today. But they are enjoying their full-time sauna, oblivious to the rare winter storm that has befallen us here in SC. The boys are happy, the snakes are warm, and the landscape is gorgeous. I know this is nothing to some of you, but we get snow so rarely here that we really enjoy it. I'm sure my electric company with also enjoy sending me my heating bill!

Merry CHRISTmas, everyone! I know I've not been posting much lately between some personal and health issues. This year, I got pneumonia for Christmas! I'll be sure to be much more specific with my gift requests next year... But I am very grateful for the year it has been and for all of your support.
