Have you heard of the World from A to Z? It’s a news show hosted by Carl Azuz (of CNN10 fame) and it’s a great (free!) option for staying on top of current events! Check it out!

A Japanese company begins the controversial release of treated, radioactive wastewater into the Pacific. We're also examining the case for -- and against-- a four-day workweek. And there's been a boat backup near the Panama Canal.

This one is interested in showing and breeding Holland Lops for her 4H project this year (and in the future). She’s grown up with rabbits but would like the challenge of a new breed. She has joined the breed club.

Her variety preference is blue tort (solid or broken) but she is open to others based on availability. Preferably a trio.

Possible transport available from Convention, but not necessarily opposed to a rabbit road trip to meet for pick up. 😁

Please send us a message with any leads you may have.

One of my friends asked, "Why do you pay so much money for your kids to show livestock?" Well I have a confession to make, I don't pay for my kids to show livestock.

So, if I am not paying for them to show, what am I paying for?

- I pay for those moments when my kids become so tired they want to quit but don't.

- I pay for those days when my kids come home from school and are "too tired" to go the barn but go anyway.

- I pay for my kids to learn to be disciplined.

- I pay for my kids to learn to take care of their body.

- I pay for my kids to learn to work with others and to be good team mates.

- I pay for my kids to learn to deal with disappointment, when they don't win what they'd hoped for, but still have to work hard in the grading.

- I pay for my kids to learn to make and accomplish goals.

- I pay for my kids to learn that it takes hours and hours and hours and hours of hard work and practice to create a champion, and that success does not happen overnight.

- I pay for the opportunity my kids have and will have to make life-long friendships.

- I pay so that my kids can be in the ring instead of in front of a screen...
..I could go on but, to be short, I don't pay for show livestock I pay for the opportunities that showing livestock provides my kids with to develop attributes that will serve them well throughout their lives and give them the opportunity to bless the lives of others. From what I have seen so far, there is no greater investment out there.

I first penned this statement in 2019. Last time I shared this image, a number of people demanded I recant it. They said it was too bold, too exclusive.

I thought about what they said and ultimately came to the conclusion that I stand by every word of this statement.

There are those who are more comfortable with life of conformity. Their primary goal is ease and convenience in all things. And that’s fine— they have a right to make that choice. That doesn’t make them bad people by default.

But I prefer to align with the adventurous ones. The rule breakers. The status quo smashers. The ones who ask juicy questions. The ones who will choose a harder path on purpose because it makes them feel more alive. And there’s never been a better time to take a stand, to push against the herd, and to think for yourself. ✨
